Description Trolls are descended from Denisovan giants. There are four species, of which Cave Trolls Petranthropus spelaeus are the most derived. Unfortunately they are also very inbred: their cranial capacity is diminished even beyond that of other Trolls, they are nearly blind, and their skin is like that of a rhinoceros. The males are capable of growing beards and both sexes commonly wear sauna towel-style loin clothes. In most cases, Trolls have formed a symbiosis with Goblins (Homo efialtes) to enable hunting and scout for mates. It seems that Cave Trolls are only 90% confined to purely troglodytic lifestyles, but this is still greater than, say, a River Troll. The lives of Cave Trolls are significantly shorter than those of other species (Average 112 years, Maximum 174), but all Trolls have much better resistance to disease than other hominins. And of course everyone is familiar with the now-cliche Troll wielding a club fashioned from a small tree.
