Ok so IT’S FINALLY DONE THE MINI COMIC SHOWING CELESTIA AND SUNBURST’S FIRST DATE!!In the first panel we have Sunburst opening his door to a disguised Tia holding out a bouquet of flowers-
”This is still the customary greeting for first dates right?”
The second panel is Sunburst’s reaction-
”Tia!? Um, well yes? How did you make yourself look sooo..”
“Different? It’s an illusion spell we royals often use to go out undetected, I figured this would be better for our date so we don’t get mobbed by paparazzi. You can call me Eventide tonight, Tia still works too.”
“Oh!! Yeah that’s probably best.”
The third panel is Celestia carefully pushing up Sunburst’s glasses because they were slipping.
“Here let me help- there is that better?”
“U-um, yes?”
“Perfect!! Now let’s go I know the perfectrestaurant!!”
The fourth panel is them at a romantic candlelight dinner.. Where Sunburst is telling Celestia a story about his first time trying and inflation spell in class when he was a foal. This causes Tia to laugh so much she snorts, making them both laugh harder.
“A-and then, my spell misfires and hits my teacher right in the muzzle causing him to blow up like this-“
*snort* “Ahahahaha- Sunburst that’s priceless!!”
The last panel is simply the pair enjoying a dance in the castle gardens, Celestia back to her alicorn self as they just sway together slowly. Not saying anything.

So yeah that’s their date!! I’ve spent weeks getting this comic painted and I’m pretty happy with how it’s turned out.
Also Luna and Phoebus were absolutely following them while they were on their date. They’re so ready to see Celestia happy again.

I wonder how long it has been since Celestia allowed herself to just relax and enjoy the company of somepony who wasn't a family member or a member of the royal court. Its gotta be a relief to just be herself (even when wearing a disguise and going by a fake name) with someone else.
Though it does make me wonder how long it's gonna be before these two decide to make their relationship public, or what the public's response is going to be.

They’ll go public eventually , but right now they just want to be together without any sort of societal pressures or interruptions.
Sunburst was actually fairly well received when they went public, since he’s a respected professor at the School for Gifted Unicorns, and he’s best friends with the first pupil of the princess of friendship.
