Description
When our trip to Wismar came to an end and we walked back to our car i noticed these cranes behind some houses and decided to run around the houses to have a last look ...maybe there is a last picture . This was what i saw there .The picture is made from 3 RAW photos

This reminds me, in a general way, of Edward Hopper's paingings: Lighthouse at Two Lights, and Gas, for example. I think it's the subject, and general focus on - forms?
Composition doesn't, quite, follow the 'rule of thirds,' which is more of a suggest than ironclad principle. My opinion.
I'd probably have boosted contrast, making the derricks into silhouettes: but that's the artist's choice.
Good range of tone, form white to (near?) black, variety of color too: with blue shades and tones above and below separated by a yellow and orange band. Nice. Again, my opinion.
On a strictly subjective level, I appreciate seeing an industrial setting presented as it is: with its own beauty.
About my rating: bear in mind that I'm a tough audience. Five stars has to be - - - absolutely top-rate. The sort of thing that folks could be discussing a century from now.

About the rule of thirds - bear in mind that I'm a hobbyist, not a professional - I've got a 'thirds' grid I use when making my pictures. But the 'ready for posting' version isn't necessarily lined up with the grid. Like I said, I take it as a suggestion: not a 'must be obeyed' rule.
Like you said, 'breaking the rules' can be interesting - and occasionally rewarding.
