It was! Her growth has been really interesting to watch throughout the whole series. Just Steven becoming more aware and closer to the gems has opened up a whole bunch of new things that he didn't know before. In result, he's become closer to them and has really grown into a sort of pillar of support of the gems.

So very true. This is a big step for her and I look forward to watching her grow as the rest of them I'm sure XD. Last night's episode just let a lot of what I think Pearl's been holding back and I hope someday, we'll see some for Steven. Like what happened at the diner, they got a lot of steps to go in life.. whoa sorry if that sounded hippy or something XD
