Such a pleasure doing this and I've definately learnt some new things.I tried to neutralise the light and then tried to add a back light effect, which I think I've pulled off. I also wanted to try a brighter palette... I did that too!
Had a great day and very happy with the result.
Stock: the wonderful *fetishfaerie-stock
My own resources:
100% vector and done in Adobe Illustrator CS4.
No blends, no gradient meshes, no blurs.

You can pull off anything you set your mind to. You're a ridiculously talented artist.
I adore the color palette and the back light is perfect. The bokeh in the background adds a brilliant little touch. You've pulled this off fantastically. This image looks like what a nice fresh piece of bubblegum tastes like. It makes me smile and float. I absolutely love it!

My only crit is the hair parting is too light if that makes sense?

Yeah it's a bit of a mind fuck I guess, I'm trying to do a backlight effect but with also light on the face if that makes sense :s
