This was a piece I worked on for a long time, sort of messing with values. I colored it several different ways but I really prefer it greyscale in the end.

I had a lot of fun building the odd cobblestone road, ruins, grass, and the armor which is really just exaggerated "trance" armor from FFIX. Fratley didn't officially have trance armor so I just played around with his normal outfit to create something more platemail-ish.

The background and sky I left more midtone and abstract, I am often spending too much time on the background in my opinion and too much detail back there takes away from the foreground.
