Aww that is the cutest!
I want a chick! Though my kitty LilSushiKitty (or SushiCat for short, or Sushka/Sushki for even shorter XD) would probably eat it D:

EHHHH DUCKLINGZ!
I had two of them once. As pets in a third floor flat downtown. They probably shitted everywhere until my parents made the wise choice of giving them away in a matter of days, but I was too busy playing with them to notice.

Oh gosh, I'm glad I had an entire yard for them to run around in instead of a flat XD Still, dropping them off in the yard of the nighbor with the pond was a much better choice I will admit.

At some point, they let me keep two rabbits in that flat too. Things started to get awkward when I asked for a horse box and a shark water pool on the balcony, though...
But still, yeah. Yards/gardens FTW and keep your animals free to run, plz!

Heh, well it is possible to feed a shark tofe meat instead of the real thing. But that's no fun at all XD
Yes I don't even care if that invites more mosquitos from hell to eat you alive, woodlands are pure love~

I mean, what's the point of getting a shark pool if you don't toss your enemies inside it? ...Oh, right: preserving marine wildlife. Yes.
Or if the moment you take off your shoes and socks because nature is inviting like that, you step on a stinging nettle. How very typical.

Yes, or the nasty little complications of killing someone and then having to deal with the authorities, even though poor little sharkie just wanted a snack.
Heh I hardly ever wear shoes outside. Stepping on a wasp is nothing compared to a nettle, let me tell you XD

*deer in spotlight look* Authorities? WHAT? I was told I had been made supreme dictator of the world! Scam, I say.
I can imagine. How about stepping on a jellyfish, or getting one attached/wrapped to any part of your body while swimming? They fucking burn, honest.

Hmmm, yes I actually got one of those applications int he mail *flips through papers* chance to become a supremem dictator, but they wanted my insurance policy and my credit card number which I just kindly gave them the finger too ;;>>
Eeek, glad we don't have them around here XD I mean they wash up on the beach but no one ever complains of stings o.O

Admittedly, dictator scam is at least classier than all the usual "WOULD YOU LIKE TO ENLARGE YOUR PENIS?" crap. Hah.
When I went sailing in my hometown, I had to wear a wetsuit for anti-jellyfish protection. Yep, they're so bad that even sweating your ass off under 3 PM sun and 40° wrapped up in neoprene was better. And I'm eternally grateful I'm yet to meet the Portuguese man-o'-war at sea.

Or the free car crap that comes in the mail with your own car key. They get more desperate each time.
oh gods that sounds terrible >.> Man O' Wars are actually one of the many things that wash up here, too. Thankfully we're a bit too far north to get them so all the ones we see are strays.

VFreie In reply to ChibiStarr [2012-07-01 09:50:51 +0000 UTC]
Hm, now that is something new. Never gotten any free car crap (nor any free car, for that matter) in my life, which is probably a good thing seeing the rate at which my pants pockets, my drawers and my living place in general get filled with junk.
It is. It is. I still have some traces of a scar from a jellyfish sting I got nearly fifteen years ago, and it was a slight one. Pain aside, it stayed red and swollen for weeks and smelled horribly of exudate until all the crusts were gone. I've been told all this is nothing compared to the man-o'-war, so +1 no desire to shake hands to tentacles with those beasties.

ChibiStarr In reply to VFreie [2012-07-01 22:56:26 +0000 UTC]
Yeah it's a load of bull anyway and then they keep pestering you. Personally I like the junk stuff better because it much more interesting and it could be sold later if it had some value to it xD
*shudders* Ugh and I have a fear of stinging things too, so my mind just conjured up quite a terrible image there. >> hmm, I once heard that because a man o' war isn't a true jellyfish to begin with its stings aren't as bad, but I don't buy it, especially seeing as how a sting can kill a small fish. And those tentacles can get up to fifty feet long so you don't even have to be near the super visible head to get hit by the tentacles.

And people wonder why I never want to go to Australia XD NOPE. Stingy jellyfish that hurts like hell and some pyshcotic side effects? I'm good right here.

I am still appalled that no one tried to calm that Polish (?) dude's tits. Not even a security guard or something like that. In Germany of all places, I really wasn't expecting such lassitude and why the hell am I talking like a discipline-obsessed Prussian drill sergeant anyway, I need a holiday.
I want to go to New Zealand. It's probably not any better than Australia, marine stingers-wise, but I'd solve the problem by just sticking to the deck of a sail boat.

I am constantly overloaded with the German feels. Not to the point of supporting the German team in a match against Italy, mostly because I think it's a retarded, pointless and highly banal way to show dislike for the present state of this country, but still.
Eh, not much interest in LoTR over here, but eyeporn nature works just as fine. Give me volcanoes and give me open sea, and my day shall be made.

I can't blame you there, Germans do have a wonderful way making people like myself feel all emotional inside to the point where I have to stop myself from slapping people who claim that Germany had no history before WWI. I'd take a football match against that any day.
It's a lovely mixture of both, including one of my favorite mountain eyeporn scenes ever [link] Not quite volcanoes but the only one in LotR was CGI made~

Sometimes I get the impression not even many Germans proper have so many feelings about their country as I and other history buffs do. Football and the mutual butthurt it carries along can go fuck itself, for all I care; it actually makes me feel even happier I wasn't around to see WW1 era nationalism in full swing.
See, I used to spend several summer nights in this place , and from the balcony of our house you could get a perfect sight of the volcano on the island immediately facing the coast: it would jot out a nice red column of fire nearly every night, which I and my Zeiss binoculars inherited from grandpa hardly ever missed. Better than teevee, yep.

Pfft well considering how badly they react to the mention of Nazis I get the feeling that Germans aren't really into their own history as much as others are, which is really sad because not everything revolves around the freaking Nazis >> Heh, nationalism and all that patriotic stuff is really rather fun when no one else is doing it.
That is far, far too awesome for words XD You'd have to drag me away from that place because I'll be the doe-eyed idiot who keeps staring at the thing until the wee hours of the morning because she's never seen a volcano before.

I think something is changing or already has, slowly as it is, in that regard too. At least judging from the Frederick celebrations and the lack of any OMG PRUSSIANS WERE MILITARISTS AND NAZIS BY OTHER NAMES OMG hysterical interpretation in the exhibits I got to see. Honestly, well, I feel like there was a slight lack of the Prussian military aspect, but I simply might have lacked the time to look further, or just have searched for it in the wrong places.
Staring at that thing all night long is perfectly legit and worth the effort. It gets a bit unnerving, though, when it's the Etna who decides to go boom and blow ashes into the atmosphere all over the bloody east side of Sicily: that fine ash is a nightmare to wash away, let me tell you.

And news like that puts a huge, silly grin on my face like you can't believe. Entirely too into my old German and Prussians, I am ;;>> Perhaps this can help with the lack of military though: [link] Despite the price the sheer amount of stuff I saw was enough to wipe my brain for a moment and make me forget how to breathe.
Gah, especially when you choke on it. Noooot fun at all, especially for an asthmatic.

That book was all over the place in the museum shops. I didn't buy it because I had no way to physically cram it inside my baggage, but it's not even overly priced, considering the number of pages, big format, the amount of photographs and illustrations, and the fact it's a first edition: next time I hit German bookstores or a second-hand deal pops out on Amazon, why not.

Oh yes, normally I wouldn't waste time on military books like that but they went into detail with every single regiment. There is no way that amount of detail is just going to slip by, especially with the wonderful photographs on the inside. Soon as I have enough money I'm getting that XD
