I was just thinking it was like my Reviver Seed theory. Only instead of helping, it's hurting.Β

The only explanation I have is that explosion and self-destruct don't really involve exploding, but they just release ALL of their energy in such a volatile way that it knocks themselves out.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....
Maybe it's more like a burst of energy than an explosion??? I don't know. XD

That's actually a great question! How do they stay alive under such extremeness?

It's quite simple the power of BS forces all the energy to shoot through miniature vents in them, although the blast is so powerful that it actually will damage them.

My theory: The self destruct is actually a massive explosion of pent up energy all let out at once in one massive destructive blast aimed away from the balls body, the loss of all this energy makes the Voltorb/Electrode pass out.

im wondering why a voltorb upside down can be sold for more money than a voltorb right way up o.o"
(just a hint, when drawing shadows on more than one colour, keep the line the same way, dont create another one ;D)
i was thinking actually... maybe they dont explode just let out this beam of light, heat and an explosion and killing itself.......

I always wondered this.
Well, maybe it's kinda like a Pikachu, except with electricity it's combustion, and instead of it's cheeks it's the entire body that releases it.
