No it's not Tenzin. The opening sequence is all the former avatars in their element order. first is Avatar Kyoshi, Then Avatar Roku, Then Avatar Aang, Then Avatar Korra. It would really throw it off balance if then decided to have Tenzin in there not being the avatar and all.

No it's not Tenzin because in the opening sequence it shows Avatar Kyoshi for earth, Roku for fire, then Aang for air, and finally it shows Korra for water. I had to do a double take too when I first saw this
