Physical Appearance

Cedric is a young man with a higher length than average. He however fits this in with a good amount of muscles due to years and years of sport activities, making him look lean and athletic instead of like a walking noodle. He has a pale skin covered in freckles which center themselves at the top of his arms, legs, hands and feet, back, the sides of his neck and his face. Beside each of his eyes are two darker freckles. He has clear light blue eyes. He has untamable curly blonde hair, which is kept relatively short. It is charmed to a shade of red' ish orange, to show a bit of house pride. On rare occasions he might use a lot of magic spells to straighten it and get it to look more proper, but it is barely worth the hassle for him.

He has a few scars and a tattoo. The scars are mainly located at his knees and elbows due to scraping them various times during kickbox matches. There are a few bite and scratch scars located on his arms and hands, given by his lovely familiar, but those are barely noticeable.

He has a matching tattoo with his half-brother Jasper, at the inside of his left Ankle. It depicts a light-grey King chess piece. His brother has a matching black one. Illegally set by a family      friend.

Rick is a Social butterfly and easily liked by people due to a mixture of an ever friendly attitude toward everyone. He’s smooth, always knowing when and what to say, and he loves flirting and complimenting, both because of the good feeling and confidence it might give others, and the challenge behind it. He has his own style, ways and morals and is not afraid to show that, nor will he edit that for others with different opinions, but he will never insult or act mean on the differences. He is prone to thinking in black in white, in which his ways and ideas are ‘’right’’ and others are ‘’wrong’’, with only few arguments being able to change his mind. Honestly, even then he will most likely continue his own plan anyway, being pretty stubborn. He could be considered Chivalrous, if not a bit old-dated. The kind of guy who will share an umbrella, hold open doors and off his coat if you’re cold. He is Passionate about things that interest him, and he will give his full 200% to look into it or work for it. However, when it comes down to matters that do not pique his interest he tends to be lazy, delivering work Sloppy and late, or not at all.
He’s not set out on glory, but really hangs tightly onto the opinions of others about him. He would hate to be viewed as cowardly, bad behaving or weak and will do everything to prove bad opinions otherwise. He takes on nearly all dares, to either way prove himself or face personal fears.

Familiar: Christmas, Shortened to Chris. Flemish Giant Rabbit, Male. 7 Y/O.
   Christmas, in other words Chris is the passed down familiar of Rick's older Brother León. The rabbit is grumpy, and tends to bite, scratch and kick if picked up by strangers. Honestly, Doesn't like strangers at all. While it is possible to gain it's trust, it will take a long time and even when reaching that level there's a chance of biting.  Not the best familiar and Rick realises it but he loves the rabbit anyway.

History
Rick is the result of an affair between Abel Searl (at that point married with Dianna Searl) and Maria Chadwick, an Opera-singer on low cash, trying to get a career started. She was a young lady, totally believing the young man was her soulmate and that he would stay with her. She was wrong. As soon as it became clear that Dianna was pregnant Abel left her without a word. Not knowing he left her pregnant as well. Rick was born in the next summer, unbeknownst to his biological father.
Now left with a young child and not enough money to properly take care of him Maria made the hardest choice in her life: Keeping her son, or giving him into the hands of someone who would actually be able to take care of him.
With a lot of regrets she chose for the latter, for Cedric's sake.
He was lovingly taken up by Maria’s sister, Lydia Bauchene-chadwick.
The Bauchene family gave him two loving parents, who sadly weren't able to get children themselves, an issue thought to be caused by their long pure-blood lineage. This was for them the reason to adopt children instead, Rick being the youngest, with two older brothers, and two older sisters.
He showed off his magic relatively late, leaving his parents doubting if he might have been a Squib, until he managed to blow up a pan with food in his seventh year. His mother was equally angry and relieved.

It was in his eight year he got to hear that his Aunty Maria was in fact a lot more than that. Even when hearing the whole story it was safe to say he did not like it all. It took him quite a while to accept it, but eventually mellowed to the idea.

School Years.
Like his parents already expected Rick was gladly taken into the Gryffindor house in his first year, and most definitely seemed to find his place there.
What was not expected was that he would find his half-brother Jasper here. He had known his biological Father’s name was Searl, ever since Maria told him the truth about his parents. It was only in year two however that the two managed to figure out it was the same Searl, by the use of a picture Rick had received of his younger mom and dad. That they figured out they were halfbrothers.
And not pleased with it at all.

It is safe to say they did not exactly like it, or each other that much in the beginning. It took them long, and there surely were a lot of arguments and fights along the way, but over the cause of years they grew closer nonetheless. Now in his sixth year, Rick is eagerly waiting to spend yet another interesting year with his best friend and brother Jasper.
