I made this lolita skirt for myself almost two years ago actually but I still love it! I wear it all the time and it matches my pink cutsews perfectly.The skirt itself is red gingham with a white ruffle attached on the skirt's lining and pink bows with pink ribbon running through the white lace.

Except do NOT gather the bottom of each layer like it says, only gather the top

Did you make the petticoat as well?
If you don't mind me asking, how many metres/yards are in the skirt? I'm looking at making my own lolita skirt ^^ Just not sure how much material to buy =[

3 yards is usually a safe bet

I did not make this particular petticoat but I did make the petticoat for the Skitty costume which is basically the same just fluffier
A good way to figure out the the amount needed for a basic lolita skirt is to take your waist measurement x3.5. That's for a gathered skirt though, if you want to make the same style I made there is a great tutorial for it on the EGL community on LJ, it's super easy
