I think that the fear sort've comes from how the Gods can pretty much kick your ass at any second for whatever reason they like and she has so many siblings she feels like her death'd be a tiny ripple in a large pond.

Dude this is awesome. The electric sea of blood thing you've got going on the first page really sets this up from something creepy. She seems all big bad awesome until she turns and looks up at Ares. I also really love the color pallet you chose for her waking up. It's got just enough blue in it that is still looks blue and just enough green that it nicely complements all the warm tones from the previous pages. Great work!

Okay, this is what I think. Probably WAY off but I have a hunch:
In the beginning panels you have children of Ares floating with just their heads above a river of blood, under a sort of trance. This may be a reference to the bloodlust and life of violence that is forced on Ares children. It's inescapable and one day it will be their end, just as they one day will be completely submerged in the river's blood.
I'm not 100% sure why those people in the river are the same as the ones above, but my guess is that they are the raw forms of each; they are each the part of them that is influenced by Ares judging by the crackling energy around their eyes. They are above the river because what is Ares is not what "is overtaken" by the violence. They are what drives the individual to violence and what causes the overtaking.
Ares reaching out to take this form of Ari I think I understand. Ares is taking back what's his, reclaiming that part of him as though she were just another doll in the collection; if she breaks, pick up the pieces, toss them away, buy another. Ari seems to feel that she and her siblings are just Ares' pawns that he will call on or take away in an instant.

You are very close indeed |D In fact that sounds even better than the thoughts I had in mind.
Though basically yes that's what I had wished to portray. Although the blood was originally meant to be lava as they're in a weird volcano, but it could very easily be blood as well. The blood of their enemies and what not. You're right about the raw-forms (or-the personifications of the alien-like warriors they will grow up to be), the shadows either side of Ari's rawform is supposed to be Guin and Asher's. As all the rawforms are hovering over the sleeping children in the pit, waiting for them to awaken and become tools of war. (I didn't feature the shadows in the next few panels because, as in most nightmares, Ari faces her fears alone).
In the panel on the last page where Ari!Raw looks over her shoulder the dots that represent the children's faces also begin to disappear, as if they've sunk under the lava leaving Ari alone to face their father.
But yeah, your ideas are hardcore. I like your spin on it. : D
