And this is why you should never let Chi design anything

I've never been all that great at designing clothes orz. Characters? I guess. Clothes? Lolno. But when #DGray-Roleplay started up a DGM 4th Uniform Design Contest, I guess I couldn't help myself
Um, so yeah. The only part I like is the coloring /shot

This is only a WIP since I'm planning to throw in some extra stuff, like what's under the jacket part, etc, etc. I also wanna make a Kanda and Lavi version, maybe throwing Timothy in there as well to show different customization options. :V
In fact, I originally put Kira in there to show the girl's boots - and how you could make the jacket sleeveless; but ah, as I was drawing her I realized she'd prefer to keep the sleeves, despite how she'd totally rip them up in battle using her skin Innocence in defense. Merp. Y u no agree with my ideas, Kira?! /slap'd Might throw a random girl in there without the sleeves =w='''

Ummm, onto the uniforms. Well, I was legit inspired by a poncho. For srs. 8'D; Then I remembered the short appearance of the desert uniforms, and I always did like those jacket/cloak things >3< So that's where that came from. The rest is basically inspired from multiple military uniforms I've seen, since Hoshino's started getting more into a militaristic kind of style.
As for the styling, I wanted to make it /look/ DGM, but still keep the design original, since that's in the contest rules. A few things I noticed with Hoshino's styling is she always appears to have sleeves, some sort of collar part, a belt, the emblem, and a little zipper part (almost like a pocket). After that, I added in the Black Order attributes such as the cross parts and whatnot =u=

Extras about the uniform:
The long sleeve that covers their arms can split along the vertical white line (velcro, I think)
The entire thing is patterned, kinda xD At least, I kept repeating certain themes, if you can notice them orz
The tail coat(?) part (w/ thin red cross lines) that covers the sides of their hips/legs can be customized to cover behind them as well.
Everything varies in length/height, depending on how you customize it. The short jacket part is probably best kept as is though (not including the sleeves).
The belt buckle has the name of the exorcist on the back of it, like Hoshino had for the 1st Uniform's buttons //I always missed that in the newer uniforms ;a;

Yeaaah, that's all I've got for now.
