Okay, so, as we all know, Vitani is one fucked up TLK character in that when she transitions from cubhood to adulthood, she almost looks like a completely different lion www.animationsource.org/sites_… = imagesci.com/img/2013/09/endin…I got the idea to do this from Rinja's secondary account (if she still had her TLK stuff up, I'd link to the pic I'm talking about) but rather than take cub and adult Vitani and make them two separate characters, I mashed them into one so they'd look like they could be the same character. I tried to blend her cub and adult traits together, hopefully I did alright, I think I could've done better on her adult self's ears and her cub self's cheek tufts. Also, I noticed in some screenshots of her adult form, she has scruffy eyeshades and after seeing how frequently they would appear, I figured it wasn't a drawing error like I'd initially thought and decided to include them.
I don't care if anyone complains, this is the way I'm drawing her from now on (though I may shorten her cheek tufts on her cub self in my future TLK fanart) Hope you like it

Sorry that it took me this long to respond (I've been pretty tied up with rl drama lately) but I just wanted to say thank you for your kind words ^^ I haven't drawn this lovely lady in a while but this was always one of my favorite pics of her
And yes, I've always loved her hair XD she's so rugged and tomboyish compared to the prissy lionesses you're used to seeing in the LK franchise, I like that it has a bit of a 70's-80's vibe

Yup, I can see why. xD If I dew and adult!Vitani completely based on the canon cub design, it would barely look like the same char with the canon adult design. o:

I agree with this redesign.
I mean I always wondered why she didn't have her cheek tufts as an adult. When I first saw the movie when I was little, I didn't even recognize Vitani at first after they showed her as an adult. My first thought after seeing her adult form was " Wow she got so ugly.

Actually I really love this idea! I was so unhappy with the way adult Vitani looked when I watched the movie, but seeing this makes me really love her again<3 Perhaps I'll have to draw her like this from now on as well. ;3
