Description Originally it just started out as a doodle, I just wanted to try out that awesome pencil brush in a new program I got last week (Clip Paint Lab).

Then it turned into an excercise to draw realistic eyes.....then into a shiny, flowy hair practice....and now I think this looks pretty much like myself in shoujo manga version XD

Somehow, when I try to draw realistic female faces it always turns out to look very much like me although I don't use myself as a reference @_@

Since the facial features are so similar to mine I'm thinking of giving this to my mother as a birthday present......though maybe it's too simple for a birthday present?

aww that's amezing!! Is Clip Paint Lab a feature to SAI? cuz I searched it up and it looks like it, but I don't get the japanese sites anyways I would bet your mom would be really happy for the drawing

No, unfortunately, Clip Paint Lab is a program on it's own it basically is a mixture of SAI, Painter and IllustStudio so to speak.
I'm studying japanese so I can read the characters. The program is legally free for download, if you want it I can sent it to you
If you have a little knowledge of the photoshop or SAI icons (like the white sheet for adding a new layer a.s.o.) and with a little experimenting, it's a very easy to handle program, like SAI

Do you know how to make new layers on this program?
I don't speak/read Japanese >.<

Sure I do When you open the program, look at the very bottom right.
There you see an icon which looks like a white sheet of paper with a little fold. That's to add a new layer. The icon right to it is for new layer sets. The icon right to that is for layer masks. Just play around with the program, click on all the icons and you'll see what they do
