Description Hello:
These are renders of Asuran Cityship, a copy of the cityships the Ancients created from the series "Stargate: Atlantis".

A Cityship is a mobile city designed by the Ancients (or Lanteans as they were known in the Pegasus dwarf galaxy) and then used by the Asuran Replicators as a living habitat and mobile base of operations; But it is also a formidable warship in times of crisis because it is capable of defending itself thanks to it's powerful shields powered by 3 ZPMs and a large complement of Drone weapons. It also keeps a large number of Gateships (Puddle Jumpers) in several hangar bays and a Stargate.

The look of the Asuran Cityship is that of the original Ancient design from millenia ago, so that is why I made the model to match the look of Atlantis during the first episode of the series. Atlantis itself will have a new and separate render.

I hope you will all like it. Comments are very appreciated .

Thank you for your invaluable help .

Please click Download so you can see full details.

-Update: To prevent confusions, since only the Asurans remain in my Stargate AU, that I properly renamed this cityship as an Asuran construction, to differentiate it from Atlantis itself that has a separate render and many unique added structures.

No problem, I really like models, I've been trying to teach myself about Milkshape3D more, so far I've come close to rigging models for games Like Final Fantasy Dissidia 012 but it's a real work in progress. You guys did great by the way!

That city is so badass. I've always wondered how cool it would be to live in a place like that!

This must have been a very challenging model to create. Especially since your models are intended for low polygon environments. But you amazingly pulled it off! Impressive!

Hello:
I think that if we find a ZPM, then I bet they will let us visit it . But I agree, imagine how magnificent views and style of living the Ancients had, they surely know how to make everything with style .

The fact that Cityships are not meant to be mass-produced helps. I would leave this one as a main/starting starbase for an Ancient faction so it could be very much unique . So badass but you still need to be careful .

But do you want to know something funny? my model of Atlantis has less polygons than Destiny .

Hello:
And thank you very much! . Maybe it helped that I had no plans during the weekend, and since I knew the buildings would be tedious to work with I said: "tonight I'll finish them all" . I am very happy that you like it .

Sometimes it's really good to really set a deadline, right? I've been at such a point again and again, and without kicking my own butt I'd never have finished such difficult things. You did an amazing work with Atlantis. I can imagine the huge amounts of work, but they were totally worth it!

So it flies in space???
cause the buildings look pretty exposed... as in, where do they get the air they need? if they need any, that is.

Chiletrek In reply to DJcroc2016 [2016-04-17 23:25:44 +0000 UTC]

Hello:
An Ancient Cityship is better when in a planet's surface, it is even buoyant so, like Atlantis in the tv series, it can remain in an ocean without problems .

As for space? yes, it can fly in space because it has an extremely powerful energy shield, surrounding the entire structure and protecting it from natural phenomena or enemy starships trying to attack it .

This is AWESOME;  you do great work and this really makes me miss the show.   I was reading a Stargate: Atlantis  and Frozen  Crossover FanFiction called In The Past  in which in an Alternate Universe where Elsa and Anna are in charge of a new larger prototype Lantean City ship called the Arendellia after the loss of their parents at the hands of the Wraith. It kind of reminds me of the Atlantis concept design.

Hello:
And thank you very much for commenting . I miss the show too and I hope I've made Atlantis some justice .

It seems you are enjoying that crossover, and that pic you've shown me is very interesting, I just wish there is a bigger version of it, to take a closer look at the design . But it is interesting how Atlantis went from a star to a snowflake .

Sorry about that I hope this Atlantis concept photo comes out larger so you get a better look at the design.

Hello:
Thank you for the links, now I've got a clearer view of the concept, and I must say it looks huuuuuge .

I like how mysterious that metropolis looks, with all those new buildings and, certainly, super long piers.

Also, this is something I found that I want you to look at -> dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/52…

Thank you for the link I love this photo   (sgo.sg1.cz/images/ilustrace/pl… ); it makes you wonder what would happen if Atlantis were to stay on Earth. Would they move it into neutral waters and use it for a new united Earth base for a new stargate command.

I figured you might like these links also:

Hello:
I love those added structures around that Atlantis-style cityship (is it called Plato?), it sure looks both magnificent and peaceful .

In one of the novels it was stated that the Atlantis Expedition crew wanted to return the Cityship to the Pegasus galaxy because they were sure the USA would take over it, and you know that is something the USA would do. So, if it would have remained on Earth, neutral waters would be the best choice .

 Nice pics! .

And thank you very much . To build this model had very tedious moments (with all buildings, specially the main tower which has tons of details  ), but once it got it's shape, it was all very worthy, I am very happy .
