A pic for AlexVanArsdale's Super Strike 10 contest. alexvanarsdale.deviantart.com/…My theory for his Relic story is that there is some major disaster that seperates the Strike 10 crew and Rita thinks that they are all killed, or at least Scout is. She has been brooding about this disaster for years, perhaps feeling like she could have prevented it. But later in the story she discovers Scout is alive, although, quite the worse for wear. Aaaand we have a happy ending.
Did this in copics and tweaked the shading and background in photoshop.

I suppose it would be poetic, given the flashback that Alex has us in currently kinda begining the story, if that's when Rita is separated from Scout, it's be neat if by the end they are reunited, like this.

That's kind of what I thought. That maybe the whole part of Rita going so psycho...or at least a big part of it would be losing Scout. If she got her back she'd have all that burden lifted.

I'm sure! It makes sense. Those two are close, so, besides the disappearance of the rest of the team, Scout's disappearance would have a big affect. I just hope Scout is ok though.

Yeah, if whatever happened was intense enough for Rita to believe she was dead, I figured she probably wouldn't have gotten out of it without some ill effects.

This is so sweet. The interesting thing is, I'd thought about drawing this scene, (Actually thought of it long before this contest) but decided to do something else, and I think you did it justice a lot better than I could have. Plus, in mine, Scout is even worse for wear. You're so good at showing emotions. They're both clinging to each other like they plan to never let go.

Probably not. Then again, I wonder if Scout's become a lot more independent from her time away from Rita. I mean, this whole mess certainly changed Rita, so it'd likely change Scout too.

I....did not. Heh. It was getting a bit TOO sad for me. But good to know there is a silver lining. Maybe I'll finish it now.

I make things better by the end. I don't write dark and depressing. I might write bittersweet, but I'd never leave people with something like that part 1 and not have a second or third part that had something uplifting. I hate downer endings.
