Description Finally got around to drawing the main character. I am quite happy with this as I am so inept at backgrounds and making characters fit in them. I actually did a color thumbnail of this b efoee I drew the big one, which I hardly ever do. I think that helped a lot.

Done I copics.

Lol, is it just me, or does his face bear some slight resemblance to Rover? Of course, the green in his outfit also furthers that impression.

Very well done, sis! The background and foreground are fantastic!

Perhaps just that massive grin and red hair.

Thank you! I was really surprised they turned out so well.

I think that's what it is. Or perhaps who knows, maybe Robin Hood is somewhere in Rover's lineage too, haha.

You're welcome! Great sense of depth here. I was watching some of Bob Ross of TV the other day and how he paints scenery. Good grief, amazing.

Oh cool! I like that you based him off Richard Greene!  I don't usually like the idea of a beardless Robin but yours pulls it off quite well.
Bravo!

I actually was going to give him a little beard on his chin but Julie vetoed it because she said that in some of the stories, I don't know which one, they use facial hair as a symbol for a mask, or someone who is trying to hide who they really are, like the Sheriff and Prince John.  So No Robin beard here.

Good job.
I rarely do backgrounds in traditional. When I'm working with digital, I love backgrounds though.

I even have a hard time with them in digital. But they are a lot easier there

I've found the trick with digital is to do most of the character shading after the background is mostly done. It allows me to know what color shading to use, like on that ice dragon. (Of course, I think my art style is quite different from the on you use.)
