Description
Trigger is a newer member of Rover's crew. Trigger is a Liske, an electromagnetic creature that is usually considered a pest as they feed on energy from the engine of a ship and like rats have a tendancy to chew important things and make their nests in the most inconveniant places.
While staking out a new space station for potential customers Rover is invited on a Liske hunt. The station is infested and they have turned the extermination into a contest. Rover thinks it's a fantastic idea...until he gets one of the little guys in the sights of his phaser.

I keep wondering what would happen hif Rover and my OC Henry met. XD He's quite similar to Rover in that he also can be pretty rough if the situation calls for it. But not as much as Rover, I suppose. And Henry's also a rather sweet guy, really.

...With both Trigger AND those adorable Engineers(what are they going to be called?!O.O) hangin' out in engineering...I'm pretty sure that would be my Jenny's preferred part of the ship.
(*Hi Ho Hyperdrive --> HHH --> 3H. ..3H happens to be the chemical symbol for tritium, a radioactive isotope of hydrogen, and therefore was simply irresistible as the nickname for a scifi series HAHA AREN'T I CLEVER?! I'm so proud of myself ;-P)

Liske would make good pets! As long as you keep them away from your electronics. A handful of batteries ought to keep them happy. Need a heating pad? Sit one of these guys on your lap. Their fur crackles and snaps when you pet them like your hair when you rub a balloon over it.
I haven't come up with a name for the engineers yet. Working on it, though.

Thanks! Yep, he's pretty happy now that he doesn't have to hide all the time. Oh, he probably will. But nothing more than touching a doorknob after you've walked across the carpet. But don't pick him up when he's mad or you'll get a shock you won't forget.

Rover's got a soft heart. I love how the Liske got named "Trigger!" That's fantastic! It fills me with hope because, with a new friend like Rover, he's never going to have to worry about 'triggers' again. Their colour scheme goes nicely too.

He does. He gets quite caught up in the competition of the thing but when it comes right down to it he can't bring himself to kill something for the fun of it. Especially something that has never done him any harm.
Trigger is sweet, curious and love to be petted. But he is constantly being chased out of engineering for disrupting energy flow to the jumpdrive.
