Flyspur is quickly learning that reasoning with a human baby is like banging your head against a wall...which is actually something he feels like doing about now.

A three year old found my little travel bible once. It soon became an airplane, a tent, and then the prize in a very delicate game of tug-of-war. I imagine that baby drool all over your data slate thing is similarly disheartening. On the bright side, he doesn't have his purple freckles showing, so it could be worse. (I wonder, since Rover grew up with Jssfloon, if his brain would be geared towards understanding their gestures, expressions, and tones more than human ones? I know he hasn't seen actual humans, just the ones from shows and things, but songbirds learn their song from whatever birds are actually around them during the appropriate developmental period and if they have no bird company, but they do have recordings of bird song with video, the bird will never learn how to sing. Obviously, no one has experimented with a human child because that would be terrible, but the question would apply to Rover. How much have his significant periods of development geared him for best interaction capability with Jssfloon?).

Oh gosh x'3 I'd have the same connection with Flyspur. I can really hear the timid irriated sound of his tone when he says, "..T-that's mine.."like he's trying not to raise his voice. Baby Rover's still lookin' adorable, as always

You've nailed it! He knows if he takes that away from him he's going to go into a screaming fit. He wants his padd back but he doesn't quite know how to go about it. But don't worry, Nana will help him out.

Yeah. They try to look as adorable as they possibly can so you won't take it away from them. That object that is currently being drooled on is an info padd with ship's logs, cargo lists and various other important things Flyspur was and needs to work on. But he's still not quite sure how to handle human children yet and doesn't know what to do in this situation.

Yeah. He's pretty confused to begin with, though. Jsslfoon are not mammals and are in a transparent egg sack until they are probably the equivilant of five year olds. So although he was often a babysitter on his home planet he is still not accustomed to dealing with children this young.
