I just finished this Today, I think it turned out rather well, although I had some difficulty with the blasted camera... I finally put my giant sketch pad to use, it's a lovely 18" x 24". Now all I need is a bigger scanner and I wouldn't have problems with the graphite reflecting the flash.

Oh yes, and if you plan on drawing David Tennant in the future, prepare to go absolutely crazy trying to get his nose right...

It's a British show aired on the BBC that's been running on and off since the sixties. The Doctor is a Time traveller from the planet Gallifrey. His whole race was wiped out during the time war against the Daaleks so he is the last of his race. Being the last can get pretty lonely so he always picks up a companion from earth (usually from the 20th or 21st century, and usually female). Then they travel through space and time visiting places, and the Doctor usually ends up 'saving the day' from whatever evil they encounter.
Conveniently, his race can 'regenerate' whenever that form is dying ( aka whenever the actor's contract expires

Next time I'm using charcoal because I have a white charcoal pencil that would have been great for that. Unfortunately you cant use the white charcoal on graphite... it just doesn't work. I was going to do the pin striping, but have you ever tried to erase such a small line? I was mad that I didn't get it right either.

I mistakenly thought, "oh I have to color this in dark so that it will show up in the scanner" then I remembered how big my scanner was

Hehe, I remember making the same mistake once upon a time. It still turned out really well, and it was nice to see a David Tennant drawing in a different pose/setting. Everyone else seems to draw the same one as everyone else. Diversity is a great thing

Ugh, David Tennant's nose... Thank goodness I was working on cardboard when I drew him, because *that* could withstand a little more eraser abuse than most paper products! I could tell at a glance who he was, though; kudos for nailing him.
If you don't mind my saying so, Tennant looks a bit of a dope in *every* single one of his photographs.

I think that I would have to agree with you, although I don't think I would call him a 'dope' as such... his character in the show can be described as a very intelligent, very expressive child in an adults body... if that makes any sense. It's the expressions that make fangirls I think... sort of like the Johnny Depp of the U.K.
