Description This is Xi. Ze was fabricated using sinking, bouging, forming, appliqué, and forging. Ze is inspired by Japanese tetsubin teapots. Although ze is smooth and clean, ze is also accented by silver linework and repeated angles to create visual interest.
Ze's in my exit show, which runs from April 30th, 2012 to May 4th, 2012, with four other teapots.
Materials: Copper, silver, steel, tin

Just saw this in the metalwork section- jaw droppingly amazing. From the detail in the spout and lid to the very smooth looking raising.... And even though I can't see them, I'm sure the feet are well thought out too.
Have you ever considered enameling these larger vessels? Forgive me if this sounds out of place, but your Control collar showed fantastic techniques, and I can see the silver elements being translated to cloisonne.

Thank you!
And yes, I have thought about enameling them-- if it would have worked for my show and if our kilns were large enough, I would have tried it this semester. I agree that these forms have potential for enameling.
Thank you again!
