1) Their wings are retractable.

6) the wings are /not/ birdlike (except in very rare cases), nor are they always white.

7) They are monogamous, bonded to their mate/spouse by the Soul at birth. It is a more genuine love than could ever be understood by a full-blood mortal.

8) If their mate is born a mortal, they will ascend after it's.... made official? By any sort of ceremony.

9) they are omnilingual, meaning they can speak any language, even those of animals.

10) They can shapeshift into any animal at will, generally most comfortable in the form they were born in.

11) Each one has an important job

12) They generally stop aging in their 20's, but can still die of illness illness or be murdered.

13) when they do die, they are reborn until they are fulfilled, after which they ascend to the realm of Immortals.

14) Their Souls are very fragile. When it breaks, well... Just don't break it.

15) If their Soul is poisoned, they will eventually go insane.

16) It can be cured/prevented by breaking whatever curse is haunting them. This keeps the poison from eating up the rest of body, but it /must/ come out. This involves a lot of, errr, vomiting.

17) Sometime after they stop aging (matehood is usually official by then), they start going through a complex "Heat Cycle" in which they cannot show the slightest affection to their mate without wanting more. Luckily, this embarrassing process only lasts for about 3-7 days once or twice per year. It was meant as a taste of human flaw. Oddly, they don't need it to reproduce. They could conceive at any point in the year. They hate being in Heat.

18) Mortal limits don't apply . Mpreg and fempreg are possible. Don't ask me how (seriously, I have NO idea. Don't be cheap)!

19) Tampering with the Bond (breaking the tie between Souls) causes both of them great pain (in every sense) and anguish, sometimes even completely destroying them. They will never do this to each other, but someone who wants them to suffer would. The action of messing with such a sacred thing is so sick, twisted and... well, just plain wrong, that even the Devil himself looks down on it.

20) Unfortunately for some, they have infinite memory. Every single detail, of every. Single. Life. I'd hate that.

21) They can't kill themselves. Period.

22) If their Soul is detached, they cease to exist and can't be reincarnated. Ever. This is worse than death.

23) Should have been obvious from #'s 7, 8 and 19, but apparently not.... The Bond is fricking MUTUAL. Both of them, mortal or not, feel it.

24) The 'halo' is a symbol on their shoulder that shows their Soul and purpose. It shows up at about 17 human years.

25) Apparently there's been a lot of suffering curses lately, so many have crapsack pasts and/or are inflicted with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. It varies on how badly they're affected, but #20 generally doesn't help.

26) I learned it the hard way, but they have silver blood.

27) If you have even a drop of Angel blood, you are an Angel, period.

28) They are all pansexual. Fridge brilliance.

29) They have warm auras.

30) They can't perform huge miracles (Bringing back the dead after a certain time, ect) anymore because it'd just freak people out. We've become so dependant on science for answers that it upset/scares us when science can't make sense of something.

31) Faeries and other Fair Folk count as a sub-type.
