Description And here we go.

I love Mega Evolutions. Sure they were wasted and in general it was another time where they spitted on us Gen V fans and gave the most to Kanto, not as much as they did with Gigantamax anyway. But overall, the concept and perfection of their designs are something I think is unparelled. There have been other Mega Sylveons before, and I think it shouldn't exist, but I had to do it just to prove it's not just possible, but that most of the people who design fanmade Mega Evolutions miss completely how they're designed and how to make them.

I'll explain it myself. Mega Evolutions are not simply a fancy redesign of the Pokémon: they're an upgrade as well as a different species that derivates from the base form. To design them, you have to understand the concepts behind the design and the Pokémon itself as a species.
For instance, what could I gather from Sylveon was that, first, it's a Fairy-type mammal who outgrows its generic attributes to favor those of jackrabbits and mythological fairies. Both of her names come from particular kinds of fairies that didn't help out much. However, her design could be traced back to her relationship with the moon and rabbits: therefore relating it to the Moon Rabbit and, by chain, Chang'e, the faerie of the moon in chinese mythology. A goddess, essentially.
Chang'e has many interesting attributes and the rabbits are always a good thing. I took the usual hairstyle Chang'e is represented with, tried to make Sylveon's bunny attributes more notorious, gave Sylveon a headpiece that is usually seen on the moon goddess, and used the ribbons to all of my advantage.
One thing that is commonly attempted is giving Sylveon wings. How I made it though is pretty interesting: they're foldable wings that appear to be a dress when folded, and majestic wings when extended. They're made from the chest ribbon itself. Both ribbons, in fact, converge together into spheres of light that then spring out the formations they're gonna take, whether it's a hairstyle or wings.

Overall, it was complex and had me put a lot of effort on it. Since I can't color I can't show it to you guys into its full glory, but other details include a gradient to blue on certain fur spots as well as the permanent shine of the ribbons themselves.

I know this isn't the thing I said I would bring but I got stuck again.

Much appreciated. Just kind of wish I had thought of something instead of...'orbs of light'.
