Wow this is fantastic!!! Such an interesting style!
How did you end up going in art? I'm doing my HSC this year D:

Ah don't worry, 85 is a great mark! Theory will probably drag me down too. The problem is that I am good at essays/etc (I'm 1st in English), but my art teacher just neglects theory completely and we have to do it all ourselves. So basically we're screwed. Sigh
Yeah 12 is okay. Lots of work and stress and such, but I don't really mind it. Gives me structure and routine, and stuff to work towards, which is good. I need that XD But I am definitely looking forward to uni, even though I don't know what I'm going to do... What are you doing now? Starting uni soon? Or something else?

Mmm ok, thanks for telling me that, I'll have a look for some post-modern artists. Do you recommend any good ones? I do have the excel book, it's like my bible for exams! XD
Wow awesome! University of Sydney? Or another? I'm sure it will be great I don't really know what I want to do at uni. I have a lot of 'interests', just no 'career goal' that I'm aiming for at the end. I would stay at uni for years and just learn and learn and learn if I could! But yeah, at the moment I'm deciding between creative arts, arts (philosophy or english literature), or psychology. The problem is, that I live LITERALLY 50 meters from University of Wollongong, so I feel that I should take advantage of this proximity, because students actually park further away than I live! But I do really want to get away, to sydney, to get independence and just start living a bit, you know? Meet new people...
Argh, choices, choices. Are you from sydney yourself?
I'm Phoebe, by the way

That's fine. Not really, sorry. I pretty much just used the ones everyone knows about like Barbara Kruger, Stelarc, Guerilla Girls, Yasumasa Morimura, Gilbert and George, etc. Haha, nice. Like I said, MUCH more useful than the teachers.
Yeah, the art campus of University of Sydney: Sydney College of the Arts. Oh, I know what you mean about not having a career goal. I'm still winging it. I almost went for the Bachelor of Arts degree when I was picking my course, pretty much just 'cause it's got most of the subjects I studied at school (History, English, Jap, etc.) plus similar ones which sounded interesting. Had no idea what job I'd end up doing if I studied any of those subjects though. With Vis Arts I figure at least I can branch into design or something if I don't want to be an artist.
Those sound interesting. Which one do you think you're leaning towards?
I say if you wanna move away to a different uni, then you should. I wouldn't want to go to a uni right at my doorstep (UWS D: ). Too much of the same place/people, like you said. And also, I guess you just need to consider which uni has a good reputation with the courses you want.
Don't worry, you'll figure it out. You can transfer to a different uni (as long as your marks are high enough), if you don't like the one you go to initially. Same goes for which course you pick. And I'm from the Blue Mountains, so I'm like 1 and a half to 2 hours away from Sydney. But I shall move to Sydney soon and it shall be awesome.
I'm Zena.
