Art from Chapter 2 of L. Frank Baum's "Ozma of Oz", one of the two books which the 1985 Disney film, "Return to Oz" is based upon.
For some reason, now that I've seen this, I wish they could've had Dorothy barefoot in a scene similar to this. What do you think?

Well, the book from which this illustration came from was published in 1907, so if I had to venture a guess, somewhere between 1906 and 1907.
