Back in December, I drew all the Disney Princesses. Today, I randomly felt like coloring one, and who better to practice coloring than Ariel? Five colors, that's it. BAM!Even with that in mind, it took me over three hours to ink and color it in SAI. Looking at the time, I'm really unhappy that it took so long because my mom won't let me sleep in anymore.

I like this, But I feel that the torso is off... I understand that she is at a weird angle, but every time I think of mermaids I think of voluptuous curves, and small waists. Just a thought... Speaking on the behalf of red heads, she is hot!

My intention was to have her leaning forward. Looking back on it now, I really should've shaded her abdomen more to make my intent more obvious. @_@

Under the sea? One should hope. She lives on, like, the sea floor. I think she must live on the continental shelf or something, because otherwise it'd be damn cold. And the pressure'd be killer.
But you know what? She might only be wearing so little because her designer like women in very little clothing. And the other male animators agreed with him.

I'd imagine she was somewhere in the Caribbean. But yeah its probably because the other animators agreed that a sea shell bikini top was all you needed. XD

Thanks! It took so long! I keep looking at it and thinking that there are mistakes, but it tired me out working on it that I won't dare touch it. I'm glad you like it!
I'm especially proud of the way I shaded her hair and her fin. Totally different styles, but they're totally different parts, y'know? lol.
