This is a comic for . I had been meaning to draw this for a long time, as another thank-you for a kindness he did for me last year (and because I like his characters and have wanted to draw them in a comic for a while). I've thrown around a lot of ideas since then but nothing really stuck until I settled on this idea. Beth and her "schemes" have always been pretty interesting to me and I wanted to try something like that!

It also helps that he created a contest recently: High Calorie Valerie Fanart and Fanfiction ContestHey everybody! Things kind of suck right now, so to spread a little extra joy, I'm doing another contest to celebrate High Calorie Valerie's upcoming six-year anniversary. Anyone who follows HCV knows what it's about: furry babes (and occasionally furry boys) gaining and losing weight. The stories range from cute, to funny, to naughty, to heartwarming. The canon is always loose, and the gym shorts are always tight.This is a chance for you HCV fans to show off your drawing, painting, and writing skills. Everyone is welcome to participate. I will pick a winner from each category. The winners will each get an art request from me and their work will be featured in a journal here on DA and on my Patreon.PLEASE READ ALL THE RULES. There aren't many.1. This contest has four categories. You can submit up to one entry in each category.2. Your entry should feature at least one of my High Calorie Valerie characters.3. Your entry should meet the criteria for the category to which you submit it.4. You should submit your entry to me privately in a note before posting it.5. No pregnancy, slob-fats, blob-fats, farting, or explicit content.6. No identity politics or inflammatory content.7. No death, violence, or tragic events (this is supposed to be fun!)8. Fanart should be high-quality. Sketches are fine, but no doodles on notebook paper.9. No MS Paint.10. Fanfiction should be spell-checked and grammar-checked. There is no minimum length.Weight Gain FanartFan art featuring High Calorie Valerie character(s) gaining weight, whether they're stuffing themselves on a cheat day, packing on pounds due to a magical mishap, or getting teased by their friends about their recent gains.Weight Loss FanartFan art featuring High Calorie Valerie character(s) losing weight, whether they're burning fat at the gym, trying a new fad diet, or just showing off their recent weight loss in skimpy clothes.Weight Gain FanfictionFanfiction featuring High Calorie Valerie character(s) gaining weight. Perhaps my girls overdo it at the buffet, get addicted to a devilishly delicious new food, or have to eat their way out of a difficult situation.Weight Loss FanfictionFanfiction featuring High Calorie Valerie character(s) losing weight. Perhaps my girls get treated at a new weight-loss clinic, compete with each other to see who can lose the most chub, or develop a condition that can only be cured with exercise.Those are the categories! Submissions will be judged based on the following criteria: quality, creativity, complexity, and cuteness. I would like to point out that I anticipate more submissions in the weight gain categories. If you are a rookie artist or author hoping to score a request and get your work noticed, you might have a better chance going for weight loss. Weight loss is less-popular with some of my followers, but it is just as popular with yours truly.The deadline to submit is midnight next Friday, June 12. That means you have ten days to get in sha… I mean get creative and submit your work. If you have questions, ask in the comments or in a note. Good luck, and have fun!
