Weird o.o .. Why is your clay sticky ?
Are you using polymer clay ?

Yup, polymer clay. It is like INCREDIBLY sticky, I can put the clay down because it will cling to my fingers and it makes a big mess.

I know this is a late reply (and not something asked of me) but I know exactly what you're talking about with sticky clay. It's probably Sculpey Original right? Their white is increeedibly soft, like crazy soft. Any mixing with it and everything gets very sticky. The best advice I can give is to mix it with a harder clay (like white original FIMO, not FIMO soft) or roll your clay flat and fold it into an ordinary sheet of printer paper and press it under something heavy, like a book. Leave it there for about an hour, then try mixing it again. You may need to do it again with a new sheet of paper. Original Sculpey has a huge amount of plasticizers (what makes clay soft) in it, and paper can draw some of it out to make your clay less soft and gooey.

Hope that helps!

Welcome and I hope they helped reducing the hair growth
I know, first time I used to work with any clay, hair would be
much than the clay chunk in my hand xD but by time, I hardly
can notice any hair ..

I am so using the gloves, it wil help with the little bits of fuzz i get on my clay. It doesn't matter how clean my hands are, i still get hair on my clay Thanks for the tips!

ChocoAng3l In reply to Scarlet-Winter [2008-09-23 12:08:46 +0000 UTC]

Scarlet-Winter In reply to ChocoAng3l [2008-09-24 00:27:08 +0000 UTC]

I used gloves yesterday. I couldn't find any small enough for my hands, but I didn't get nearly as many fuzzy bits on what I was making!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ChocoAng3l In reply to Scarlet-Winter [2008-09-24 10:10:23 +0000 UTC]

Well small ones are little big for me because I have small fingers but my hands are getting wider at the end .. so they will stand there
so it is ok .. there is x-small ones too .. I can wear those and they fit perfectly .. but because I work on small clay figures .. my joints bent in small angles .. and it hurts there ><
