The use of shading is simply astounding; the bright and enthusiastic colours bring attention to the white and somewhat dull spot in the middle that holds all of the meaning. The hands surrounding the poor crazed fellow in the middle are sized wonderfully and drawn exceptionally well. This image gives me a great insight on how small and helpless one can feel inside a world that offers no help; not entirely sure as to what to poor creature in the middle is, and is suffering from, but I imagine something along the lines of insanity, drug addiction, or just simple depression or loneliness; this wonder factor leaves room and space for the mind to wander and try to imagine the horrors and battles this creature has gone through, and that in its self is a wonderful thing to encorperate into an artwork. Great style, I hope to see more impacting images like this one.
