♥ P e r s o n a l i t y :
- Naive/Childish: Beaut is still young and he clearly acts like it. He isn't the one to learn from his mistakes, but rather to ignore them. When he was brought up, he wasn't taught much, especially things on a moral factor, although he is unaware of that fact. Things that do not make sense to him, he ignores it rather than trying to make sense of it. This quality shines through with his other personality traits.
- Blunt: He never hesitates to get to the point, and like a child, he doesn't feel bad at all when he says something that one would take insulting, and when they give him a negative reaction he doesn't seem to ever understand why, and just smiles along.
- Stubborn: Beaut tends to go into denial when he doesn't want to believe something, and he tends to pout and sulk when he is unable to get in his way, hunching over in a corner or something among those lines. He gets easily embarrassed as well and sulks when he is feeling so. And when he's lustful for blood, he gets especially angry and pout-y until his hunger is satisfied.
- Easily frightened: He easily gets startled at load and sudden noises, and scary people in the circus (which the Diamond faction has plenty...) scare him and he tries to hide behind someone he likes for safety. When he gets just a little too scared or startled, he has a bad habit of wetting his pants...
- Possessive: Another word for this would be "clingy". If he takes a liking in someone, he likes to follow them around (yes stalker) and can get really jealous when they're with another. One way to reassure himself is to drink the blood of this people, it gives him a feeling of ownership over whoever he bites. Yes he's kinda weird

♥ H i s t o r y :
Summary: Beaut was part of a vampire slayer family, and it was all happy until he was in a wagon accident and he got Capgras Syndrome where the brain believes that their loved ones have been replaced by imposters. He believes that his family had been turned into vampires which is why he feels this way so he runs away from home. He collapses and a vampire with a grudge against his family turns him into a vampire and when he awakes he is unhappy about what he has become. When he comes upon the circus he sees it as 'Wow, people are accepting vampires and other non-humans' and joins in the circus because he wants to be accepted as well.

Beaut was born into a happy family - a loving father and mother, and two loving big brothers and one big sister. They weren't an average family, however, they killed vampires - typically known as "vampire slayers". However, he was not one yet, for he was too young, but was aware about what they did. He had only one first hand experience with a vampire in the beginning of his life - when he was seven, a vampire had invaded their house through his window. However, the vampire was killed quickly by his sister before it could do Beaut and harm. Although his memory of it began to dim as the years passed, the memory of the monster trying to puncture his neck never left him. However, he still felt safe and sound when he was with his family, until a certain incident occurred.

It was a wagon accident. He was 10 years old. His family was safe, but the seat he sat in coincidentally was the worst - he suffered a horrible blow in the head. He reached the hospital before it was too late, and no problems seemed to be apparent until he regained consciousness and saw his family. The head trauma led to his mind playing tricks on him, seeing them just didn't feel the same as usual, leading him to feel as if they were imposters. When one of his brothers smiled and spread his arms to embrace him, Beaut screamed and shoved him away violently, believing his family had been replaced with fakes.

When he was brought to a psychologist, they determined he was suffering from Capgras Syndrome. They tried through counseling to make him believe that it was due to his head trauma he was having these thoughts, but Beaut believed that they just couldn't see that they were fakes. "It's a trick! I know my family more than anything..." They told him that if he closed his eyes, his mind wouldn't lie to him and he would know that they weren't imposters, but he thought that they were just trying to trick him as well, no longer trusting the doctors. Eventually, he refused to talk, and whenever one of his family members tried to convince him he was wrong, he would try to attack them so they would go away.

The only time he felt so alone and scared was when that vampire had attacked him...and that's when he reached the conclusion: his family had been turned into vampires. He had learned from them years ago that vampires had the power to change humans into their kind if they wanted to with some sort of dark magic, and his parents had warned him about the dangers. And...now his family had become one of them as well. He remembered his mother's voice telling him in the past, "Never trust a vampire no matter who they are." So that was it. They weren't imposters, but there was a reason that he had the feeling that they weren't them whenever he saw them. His family had been turned into vampires, and they were not to be trusted. They were going to make him one of them.

Beaut escaped the hospital, running blindingly away from it. He was a child and had not much of a clue of how to take care of himself, and soon he collapsed from exhaustion nearby a highway. (He didn't have any belongings with him except for his trumpet, more info on that in misc section) A vampire caught his scent, recognizing the sweet smell of his family of vampire slayers. This particular vampire had always had a grudge on Beaut's family, the vampire's lover had been slayed by them. So when the vampire grabbed him and bit his neck, he didn't drink until Beaut died. The vampire grinned and when Beaut was on the brink of unconsciousness, the vampire whispered to him, "Instead of killing you, I'll leave you alive. You can suffer with the torture of being what you and your family hate the most - a 'monster'."

When Beaut awoke, his hospital gown was blood stained and he could feel he was no longer human. For three years, he kept on disliking himself, but was incapable of killing himself. He was never taught the techniques that his family used to kill vampires. He tried to starve to death, not wanting to partake from anybody's blood. However, he had drunk the blood of a handful of humans - never killing one or turning one into a vampire, of course, but rather doing it quickly and running away quickly in shame. The experience gave him an uncomfortable mixture of disgust and satisfaction.

One day he stumbled upon a circus, "Cirque des Reves"... He saw all types of species perform, humans and vampires alike. He thought to himself, perhaps it was all right to be a "monster"? If he joined the circus, would he be accepted? Was what he had learned his whole life, how vampires are only evil beings that shouldn't exist, was that a lie? He decided to try joining the interesting Cirque and see what it would take him...

(extra note: Although he was brought up to hate vampires, his hate for himself has gradually decreased over the years after he was turned into a vampire. Being young, it was pretty hard to stay disliking himself, since his principles weren't yet made into concrete. By now, he doesn't have extreme loathing for himself, however he still feels resentment when having to drink blood. However, most of this by now is embarrassment and feelings of confusion. After all, being a child his morals can waver quite a bit despite his childhood. * more of this in misc.)

- Beaut doesn't like opening up to other people about what he was taught from his family in the past, the conflicting feelings he has within himself he feels uncomfortable about sharing. He has accepted the fact that he drinks blood, and is starting to feel happy (well, he's still embarrassed and confused - hasn't completely accepted it) when he does so cause it makes him feel "good". So he kind of wants to forget his previous morals that taught him that that was wrong, so that the conflict he feels will go away.
- He learned how to play the trumpet at age five, since his siblings liked to play instruments as a hobby and he wanted to join the bandwagon. Beaut loves the sound that it produces and has gotten rather (but not on a professional level yet really) good at it. When in the hospital, he was given his trumpet for comfort and played when no one was around. And when running away from the hospital, he took it with him. So he saw his skill in playing as a way for him to join and perform in the circus when he decided he wanted to join Cirque des Reves.
