I was throwing around an idea of Noboru's travel companion being his Mother, so I did some sketches and played around with her a bit. I had to try give her an outfit that fits with her overall style, being that she wears very loose, big clothes, but it had to be kind of practical for travel, so she's still wearing it but she ties up the sleeves and found some pants :'DUnlike most of the people they encounter, Masuyo is not a fighter. She has her own tricks though, she is able to heal and make plantlife grow, 2 abilities she has absolute mastery over from all her years of experience, but she will learn to apply it to various new situations as they encounter them. She has a little collection of various seeds that she can use as needed, but she can take advantage of any kind of plant they find, as long as it's still alive anyway.
Masuyo is a nervous woman who is just scared for her son. sometimes she has to stop and take a deep breath to collect her thoughts so she doesn't act too irrationally.
*Edit* I forgot some details on Arthelle and it was bugging me.

Ahh thank you ;u; I have a weakness for putting together characters with large age gaps in some way or another, and I've gotten really attached to Masuyo, it was just a silly idea but I am really enjoying it now.
I just enjoy the idea of a story about a young kid who travels the world on epic adventures needing his Mum to be around to supervise him, it's been something that always comes to mind for games and series that do it, like "man your parents are so complacent with this life threatening journey", so yea :'D

I think it's really cool that you actually address this issue and that a parent is willing to go along and face the hardships together,

Yea I've had positive feedback on the idea and it is something I'd love to do, all kind of stemmed from the idea that a parent with any sense would never let their young children go off alone so I'm kind of running with it to see if I enjoy it enough to keep it XD

I just LOVE all the different poses of her! She really does love her loose clothes..and
it works well with her hair! I really love the sketches you do..they are just BEYOND amazing!
Also her son.....the consistency in those sketches of him, from a scale of 1 being good and 1-10 being
beyond amazing..can I just give it a hundred PLUS...PLUS!! lol
I just LOVE your anatomy in this as well!! I can't wait to see more of these guys.
They are both amazing..and that big guy sitting to the right of her is cool too!

The big guy is Arthelle, and he plays the part of the phantom arm that Noboru has, he usually isn't physically around which is why I wasn't going to include him in the picture but I decided to keep him there for myself XD
Arty is just a voice and an arm usually but it's nice to draw him properly sometimes.
But gosh I'm so happy you like these, and I'm happy that you can see some consistency in the Noboru pictures, Masuyo I'm still getting the hang of so I'll get her right eventually XD
I was probably going to keep her hair tied back in future just so it's a bit easier to work with, and her clothes are going to be good practice for me to get material right :'D I have a habit of having form fitting outfits because I like to draw bodies and because it's easier XDD

They're just markings, most of the characters that have abilities have some kind of physical tell. I was deciding if I wanted to keep them or not but I'm attached to them now, her daughter has them too, Noboru is the odd one out.
