Territory: Mhor
Rank: Artisan Mage
Family: N/A
Personality:
Calm | Sociable | Empathetic | Loyal | Selfless | Intelligent | Mature | Passive | Disillusioned
Myrrine has that aura of calmness around her. She’s rarely shaken off by anger or despair, having a strong mind to control her emotions. She doesn’t deny or ignore her feelings, but she believes that letting them overflow doesn’t solve anything and can even make things worse for those around her.
This she-wolf loves being around others and cannot imagine life on her own. She needs a pack, contact with her packmates. She knows boundaries and respects others’ privacies, but she can never get enough socialization. She will always be available for a chat, or even just a walk.
Myrrine is extremely caring and considerate towards others, and she won’t hesitate to make sacrifices if needed. Her wellbeing means nothing to her, if others are being hurt. And she will not think twice before offering aid to a stranger. Everyone deserves assistance and a second chance.
The blonde female has always been a fast learner and a good problem solver. Knowledge is extremely important to her, and she's always eager to learn something new. Myrrine wasn't taught a lot in her birth pack, so she finds Mhor's culture and history fascinating.
At times, it may sound like she’s living in her elder years, because she sounds quite mature with the way she speaks and how she handles situations. Perhaps it could be due to all the hardships that she’s been through, she needed to learn a way to cope so she wouldn’t break.
Violence doesn’t settle anything. Myrrine will repeat these words as many times as she can. She doesn’t stand up for it and she will refuse to partake in any savagery. She will defend herself and her packmates if necessary, though she will not initiate an attack against anyone.
While Myrrine wants to always walk among other wolves whom she can trust and consider her family, she doesn't seek to form actual familial bonds. In a way, she still feel scarred from her past relationships and thus she is hesitant of what may happen if she’s to give it another chance. It’s not that Myrrine doesn’t believe in love - as in others being able to find it - but she does believe that it won’t happen to her.
Pre-Group History:
Myrrine was born in a pack along with two sisters. Their parents were hardworking, but not very renowned in the pack. Since it was such a large pack, standing out wasn’t very easy. Not that it ever bothered them, they were very grateful for the lives they had. Her puphood had nothing out of the ordinary, they were a happy family, living under the comfort and protection of the pack.
It was when they became juveniles, that their lives started to change. Especially Myrrine’s. She was the prettiest of the sisters and her charming looks caught the prince’s attention, who was looking for a female to be his future mate. Her parents were thrilled that he took interest in their daughter, and Myrrine herself felt very happy. Until she found out the kind of male the prince was. Shallow, vain and arrogant. He only cared about looks, and the fact that Myrrine had a mind of her own was preposterous to him. The juvenile wanted to impress him with her knowledge, but he started to dislike her more at each word she said.
They started to argue more and more each day that passed, to the point Myrrine once complained about it to her parents. Her mother didn’t want to believe her daughter was complaining about the prince, because she should be honored to have been chosen. Her father didn’t say anything. Myrrine felt even more miserable to not have her family on her side... Since that day, she stopped arguing with the prince, she almost stopped talking to him at all. Because there was no other choice but to marry him, she had to carry the weight on her shoulders. Once she was old enough, the ceremony happened.
However, the marriage didn’t last. Maybe she expected it to happen sooner or later, yet it was still a shock to her. Perhaps what hurt her most, was to see him with her sister. When Myrrine tried to ask them about it, the prince said he was going to call off his marriage with her and marry Katherine instead. Rumors then said that Myrrine had betrayed the prince, and that was his reason to get her sister as his mate. Myrrine was extremely hurt, she couldn’t handle the feeling of betrayal of her own family and all the lies. She couldn’t understand why the prince couldn’t have simply told the truth and had to spread lies about her… she would not mind calling off the marriage if it meant Katherine and him would be happy… because he almost looked like another male with her sister. Maybe he wasn’t such a bad male, maybe she misjudged him… maybe it was her fault and she should just accept it.
She had been crying all night when she was approached by Vincent – the male the prince claimed she had slept with. She only knew him by looks, having never even talked to him in the past. Clouded by her anger and feeling sensitized by the fact he’d come to comfort her, Myrrine ended up in fact sleeping with him. And things didn’t stop there. They started getting closer, and she thought Vincent was nice. But it was getting harder and harder to stay in the pack. She wasn’t banned for her acts - that she did not commit - but she felt like an outcast anyway. Her parents and Vincent were probably the only ones who didn’t avoid or look down on her... but Myrrine could still feel a hint of disappointment in her parents’ words and expressions. It was painful that they believed in lies, but she didn’t really try to prove her point anymore. Despite everything, the pack was still her home and she had nowhere else to go, so if she simply needed to acknowledge she was at fault, she would do it.
Then, Vincent became Myrrine’s happiness, her reason to smile. She could look on the bright side of things. But just as she thought it was working out between them, she found herself with a surprise. She was pregnant. And that brought some uneasiness on her... she didn’t know who the father was. They could be the prince’s, but could be Vincent’s… And once Vincent learned of that, he didn’t take it well. He said he wanted nothing to do with the prince. Even if she couldn’t be certain of it, he didn’t want to take any risks. They should end it.
Myrrine felt lost. That day, she did not cry. She didn’t weep a single tear. Because it wouldn’t change anything. It wouldn’t change that she wasn’t welcome in her pack. Nothing she did was enough. Even though she tried her best, she was likely stay as a nobody forever. Soon to be forgotten. She thought of her parents, and of her future offspring. She didn’t want her parents to be ashamed of her, and her offspring surely did not deserve to have the same life that she had. She couldn’t guarantee they would be treated well in a place she had no voice. Maybe she had no other choice but to leave. It was scary to be out on her own, but she wouldn’t give up…
She took her leave unnoticed and ventured into the unknown, going wherever her paws would take her. Her belly grew with each day, but she did not allow herself to stop.
At last, it seemed her journey came to fruition, as she met a small group of travelling wolves. The Mhorians, as they called themselves, were heading north, seeking for a place to settle. It seemed they had just gone through a complicated situation which left them with few members. Myrrine offered to help with whatever she could. She followed the Archqueen Rowena and her group, learning all their culture and making their beliefs her own. Days after they reached a valley and established themselves, Myrrine gave birth, but her two pups were stillborn… The mother grieved. She buried her younglings and hoped that one day she would meet them again.
Now, it all felt like a fresh start. Myrrine had no strings left with her previous pack, and it could be the time to redeem herself.
