This is a really moving piece. I've been in places like this and wished I was at home where I knew I'd be safe. I have to say this is very well thought out. Having the shoes only showing on the top fourth of the painting makes it more dramatic and you have a talent for backwashes which are not always easy to accomplish. Excellent work!
