Description
Metallica + LovecraftSo, people just keep asking if I have videos of my painting process, so I started recording again...

And to any hardcore Lovecraft fans: yes, I am aware that this doesn't exactly fit the description of Cthulhu or the story itself. No need to tell me.

Your interpretation actually may be accurate, because Cthulhu is a multi-dimensional being and his form is actually different to everybody, and that's how you perceive it.
The only reason that his form is so infamous is because when Lovecraft described him, he was giving the description from someone who saw Cthulhu and that's how that character perceived him.

I like Metallica. Call of Ktulu and Thing That Should Not Be inspired me to buy a collection of HP Lovecraft short stories. I read Call of Cthulhu two days ago.

It's quite fun. It's sorta like an old-school RPG, and although it's not always taken completely seriously (not much of a fourth wall left), there's a lot of Cthulhu mythos. You can get it on Steam.

This to me is a better rendition of Cthulhu then alot that is out there, you have made it your own.

Personally I like that this interpretation of the tentacles isn't simply "octopus." Way too many people put an octopus on some green shoulders and call it a day. This one looks almost like a petrified root structure.

Yeah, mine definitely look more like roots. But the main thing is, i'm pretty sure Cthulhu is supposed to have wings (as far as remember, been a while since i read the story 
And in the story Cthulhu was awakened by accident through some gate, here it looks like he's rising from a grave or so, and the guy is waking him on purpose...
Whatever. I just mentioned it to stop people from pointing it out. Also part of my inspiration was just the sound of Metallica's song with the same title, so it's not just a straight fan art of the story.
