...gonna make some shoe-cars later.

ps: my tablet handwriting sucks, if you can't read some words it's probably for the better

Your use of red is amazing indeed. Examples include "Dramargu", "Fading", "Invulkeri Ignis", "Red Ribbon", "Teeth and Swords" and "The High Queen".

I was looking for a spaceship that looked like a classic car. But this is pretty cool too.

It is probably the best purpose for some of the shoes I own, honestly. Awesome idea too and it looks great. So, while I may not try doing this with spaceships, I might have to see about getting some awesome things to do buildings with.

Mad? No. I think you're a genius! I was about to post on one of your previous pieces "where do you get inspiration?" but my question was just answered; guess you get it from athletic footwear. >___<

chris, are you mad, who freaking manipulates an already existing image and doesn't call it photo (or whatever) manipulation? Come on, the image existed, you manipulated it.

Ps, looks like a piece of fatty raw steak, not a spaceship. You get so many complements, you can take this.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

ChrisCold In reply to rabbitica [2012-12-17 18:03:57 +0000 UTC]

well, i was a bit confused as to why anime eyes (or any "anime" body parts) tutorials constantly get DDs and whatnot, while showing the same content. I guess they give people hope or so.
Anyway, that first comment nailed this whole tutorial, which is basically to look in common places for inspiration. Most people look at other spaceship designs to help them come up with their own, that's the wrong way

rabbitica In reply to ChrisCold [2012-12-17 18:25:29 +0000 UTC]

I've faved many of your creations but 'The High Queen' and 'A parade for one soul' are my ultimate faves (yes, red is awesome). Did you get inspiration for those pieces from looking at ordinary objects/pics or did it come from somewhere deep within?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

ChrisCold In reply to rabbitica [2012-12-17 18:42:08 +0000 UTC]

well, that high queen stuff is part of a commission which i did for a novel.
the general description was like: long red dress, frozen castle; nothing very specific, so i could improvise a little. Aside from that i didn't really need to look for reference, you know it's just a big dress not really a complex design.

i'm not the one going "weeee"
it's the shoe, isn't it obvious
