wasted

gluing

backed together

not for
dedication

s'just
I'm

permanently
leathered

fractions
of my
actions

skated

Minted glints
of 'hopeful'

handled

Explains the multi type of photos you're taking of the same genre

I can't help it: I see a girl here, La Parisienne with some headphones or other colourful wire in her hair.

i love the way man made abstractions make us see all sorts of different things

Yes. And I can say I adore casual abstractions (natural or man-made) and I absolutely reject abstract painting as art (when it involves purposefully man-made abstractions).

I love Kandinsky though.
But, blame me or not, I see all this as everyday wall decorations.
I want the supermarkets to be decorated like that.
The streets etc.

Now when I think of it I see that finding some meaning in casual things is a step forward, but purposefully creating something casual is a kind of a downgrade to me.

but who says abstract art is casual, that might indicate that abstract photography is also casual and easy?

moscaliovam In reply to chriseastmids [2013-10-01 07:17:57 +0000 UTC]

Nooo it's the hardest because it's you the creator who gather the meaning with the scattered pieces of casuality!
It can be easy as an insight but an insight means that all the previous work has been done before.
And if it's not done before, it's a lot of work to do.

If you are just clicking around and accidentally have a very good shot, it means that your intuition is working: and it can be tired, too!

Abstract art started from "freeing the form from flesh" and ended up with "freeing the unconsious from the consciousness" as far as I understand it. And this is not easy: this is not even hard, this is impossible. The unconscious can learn how to speak to us - all art is based in the deepest levels of the unconscious: it's not us who must try to forget how to speak.

I'm basically figurative, you see.

i dont create anything without seeing it, all of my pictures are created from things i see and want everyone else to see because in general people dont ... they walk past it everyday and have blind eyes because its not a pretty flower or a sunset ... i find a beauty in things others simply dismiss and i find its one of the hardest to show ...

Yes!
And that's why I started with herbs.
And that's what art is about.

OH MY GOD, CHRIS!!

I NEVER expected such a thing.

Many thanks!
I'm speechless.

I admit, this image of yours was a great way to further hit a point (like I had in mind) home.

your so very welcome, always and you know that

i loved the whole piece, the segmented words that i've used for the title hint at something we want to attain but see slip through our fingers time and time again , i love the way the remains of the white area have been rusted and drawn through by time just like "minted glints of hopeful" ...

I can nearly hear the sleeting rain, buckling temperature snaps
and a dozen other "happenings" this surface has undergone.
I'm honored.
This image is great, Chris!

... and yeah, I was hoping that line in particular wasn't lost.

your words can never be lost, what at first seems not so significant is in fact too closely correlated to be attributed to chance and therefore indicate a systematic relationship with the words around them ... you just have to see it as a whole even though the singular wording would indicate a small passage of time without any other attachemnts to it ...

Holy WOW!!
I wonder why I had not come up with that as a preface to ALL my work!
That's a hell of compliment that you'd allow for my time and effort.

Now I'M not going to waste, I'm sure of it.
