Yeah, that's kind of what I was aiming for. I do really like Pikmin's aesthetic.

Don't really know. I'm not great at naming things. As far as my computer is concerned, he's just "glasslegs.png".

Certainly a very unique and beautiful creature. I really love how you can see its brain/organs beneath the transparent skin. And the colors of the picture are just great.
I do wonder how well tentacles would work for walking. It's not really something we see in Earthly nature, so I wonder if it could be done. Would need either bones or hydraulic pressure to keep them stiff.

Thanks!
Good question. I imagine each leg as being kind of stiff (like a fibre optic wire), and able to flex a little bit through hydraulic pressure. Maybe with a ball-and-socket joint at the top of each limb for some added flexibility.

Hmm yes natural stiffness could work. So it just returns to straight in its relaxed state, and could have muscles running along its underside to bend it. Reminds me how plant leaves stay straight. They may just be stacks of soft, water-filled cells, but the water pressure inside keeps them stiff. This guy looks sort of plant-like himself, so it seems fitting.
I was planning on putting tentacled aliens in a book I'm writing, and wanted to make them grounded. This picture is a good example of that being done, and I really like it.
