Behold the beautiful feathered tyrant.Small reference sheet of this new dinosaur discovery of 2012.
Why is Yutyrannus sooo important?
-Because is the biggest feathered animal known.
-Because it is a Tyrannosaur, what means that other member of the group had feathers, too (T. rex included).
-Because a fluffy Tyrannosaur is awesome, and I'd like to cuddle it.
About the size comparison between both dinosaurs (yes, the sparrow is a dinosaur too), I made a sub-adult Yutyrannus, wich skull is about 80cm long, while the sparrow total length is about 16cm.
I used as reference the specimen ELDM V1001 as it was drew by *shartman ( [link] ). However, the size of that skull (63cm), the one you will see in google, belongs to a young animal, while the biggest (ZCDM V5000) has an estimate length of 90.5cm.

True to the name, yours is the prettiest Tyrannosaur I've seen so far.
(I've seen Tyrannosaurs in raggedy partial plumage and they weren't beautiful at all. Well, they might have been in case you like vultures

Beautiful! You really captured the essence of this dinosaur! Β I like that you added more to this beautiful creature's look than the typical view of monsters in which theropod dinosaurs are most often portrayed. It gives more dimension to this creature and draws you in to thinking about what his or her daily life was like. What was his or her personality like? What shenanigans did he is she get up too? He or she certainly was more than just a predator. You can see it in the eyes.

When I see a brachiosaurus skeleton I can see its head cocked sideways staring suspiciously at a harmless tiny mammal sitting nearby. Like a goose would do if it saw a mouse or a lizard. "Is it scary?" "What should I do about this thing!"
When I look at the skull of a spinosaurus I can imagine it vigorously dabbling happily in a mucky river. Gobbling what ever yummy fishy thing it found. Much like a duck.
Β When I see a fossil of robertia I can see it scampering about like a wiener dog!
Hollywood often forgets that ancient creatures have a lot in common with modern creatures. You can bet they had various moods and personalities just like anything else. They weren't mindless serial killers out to murder every thing that so much as twitches. Or dum herbivores thinking about nothing but chewing.
