The head looks kind of "jeholornithiform"-like, which is really quite prophetic considering its phylogenetic position in the Aurornis paper. Since Cau's megamatrix is much more in-depth than any published TWG analyses, I would consider its position as a "jeholornithiform" at least as well-supported as its position as a eudromaeosaur.
This probably looks more like my idea of Balaur than anything else I've seen, although I imagine its wings being somewhat smaller. I'd say that this is, without a doubt, the best Balaur reconstruction I've ever seen, and that's not only because it agrees with my choice of hypotheses.

Do you think that I should finish the artwork in color?Β

That would certainly be cool to see.
I did my own reconstruction of Balaur a few months ago, and I was struck when I first saw this picture how similar it looked to what I was aiming for with my drawing, especially because you did it long before the suggestion it was an avialan.Β

Are the theories of balaur being a herbivore still the main acception or has that changed?

It was actually very likely a herbivore.

If you want to see evidence supporting this, go here: [link]
It is now agreed among scientists it was in fact a herbivore.
