Yes, many canoes and kayakers travel this area of water. From this spot you could travel 20 miles before the dam would stop you.

I did think of you Karla when I sat there, when I thought of my fishing gear and how I forgot it I like to catch the fish, but mostly it is "wishing" to catch some fish

I love catching the fish...I just dont like eating them However, I will never pass up a meal of shellfish...prawns (or as you call them "shrimp") crab, lobster, marron, cray... oh but no oysters....ick

I call them prawns also I like smoked salmon otherwise I always let them go if I have food to eat  Nice to relax and try to get the I became allergic to Oysters about 20 years ago, can eat all other shellfish but nooooooo oysters.... I swell like a stuffed turkey* I am hungry for a fish sandwich or a drumstick! LOL!!
