Info: When he was just a child, Roman had contracted a deadly virus in his left arm. The virus progressed slowly, spreading throughout his entire arm. His parents contacted Dr. Jaeger, Eren's father, to help ail the boy's illness. However the doctor could not find a medicine that was able to eradicate the virus. Because he could not bare to see the boy suffer any longer, he injected the Titan DNA into Roman's disease-riddled arm. The injection worked and the virus was no more. However the DNA could not undo all the damage that was done. The Virus had created horrific marks and holes that the DNA failed to heal. Dr. Jaeger wrapped the boy's entire left arm with gauze and told the parents that Roman will wake-up but will have no memory of the virus or the injection of the Titan DNA. He strictly ordered them to not mention a word about this and make up a lie as to what happened to his limb. The parents did not object and thanked the doctor for his help. Also, when he was a kid, he picked fights with other children his age. He was often punished for his brash and uncalled for reactions.....but little Roman couldn't control his anger, and would mercilessly beat anyone who pissed him off or even just looked at him the wrong way.

Years later, the wall was breached and his hometown was invaded by a swarm of titans. Roman's father, being a part of the Recon Corps, advanced into battle only to be eaten by an abnormal titan. Roman's mother ushered him and his younger sister to the inner wall to evacuate. But another titan crossed their path. The mother sacrificed herself in order for her children to get away. Roman didn't want to leave her behind but there was no other choice. With tears streaming down his cheeks, he grabbed his sister's hand and ran with her to safety. He didn't look back, but he knew his mother was being eaten, here could hear the crunch of broken bones. They both made it to the wall and along with many others, rode a boat to Wall Maria. His sister was terrified, he never seen her so shaken up. He realized that there was no one to protect her, no one else but him. But what could he do? He was next to nothing compared to the terrifying strength of the titans. Then in the distance he saw soldiers, men and women fighting for their lives. They were brave, strong, and valiant. Though most of them died, they died knowing they were useful to mankind. Roman wanted to become like them, to become strong as them so one day he will be able to protect his sister from harm.

At 17 years of age he passed the tests and finished his training. He joined the military with Eren and the others, looking forward to the future battles with such skilled and admirable soldiers. But it wasn't long before the DNA begin to kick in. Every so often his left arm seared with pain, throbbing violently. He tried to ignore the pain, thinking that his arm still hurt from the third-degree burns his parents told him he received when he was little. But the more time passed, the greater the pain in his arm grew. One day he decided to remove the bandage form his arm to see what was causing the pain. He gasped in horror at his own arm, at the utter monstrosity. He quickly re-applied the bandage and tried to suppress the image in the back of his mind.

On the day that the Colossal Titan returned, Roman was assigned to engage in battle so the civilians could evacuate. He was put into a squad and then they charged into battle. Unfortunately his squad was not as prepared as they thought they were and one by one they met death. However, Roman and one other soldier would not accept defeat so easily and together they wiped out the titans that killed their squad. It wasn't long before they ran out of gas and had to regroup with the few remaining squads still alive. All seemed hopeless until a titan turned on it's own kind. Roman helped Mikasa, Connie, and Armin to lure the rogue Titan to HQ. Once they had taken back control over HQ and Eren was recovered from his Titan body, Roman swore to keep Eren's ability a secret. He left to make sure his sister had evacuated safely behind the other wall.

His Titan half was not activated until later on when he traveled out into the outer walls and he, along with others, were attacked by a titan. One soldier, a female of his age, was smacked to the ground by an abnormal titan. By instinct he stood between the girl and the titan raising both of his weapons high. The titan bit down on his left arm which triggered his transformation. The girl watched in horror as his body shifted and grew into an enormous size. Roman's Titan form is roughly 17 meters in height, though he is incredibly light on his feet and has a notorious speed. Jutting out of his left arm are bones as sharp as a razor. One slash will cut down a building or other titan with ease. His titan form was identified as the "Blade Titan".
