This is Toshiro Mifune's Sword Master Shimada from the 1966 Samurai film The Sword of Doom. The card depicts Shimada after decimating a band of assassins in the snow.

If you are a fan of the old Samurai movies this is a must see.

One of my favorite samurai movies ever. The fight scenes were incredible. Have you seen Takashi Miike's 13 Assassins yet?

It's great to see new cinema with such a classic appeal like that.

I loved this scene. Toshiro Mifune didn't play as big a role in this movie as he usually did in his prime, but with this one fighting scene he still managed to catch the focus of the viewers and proved to be the most profilic samurai actor of all time. Your picture captures his calm yet dangerous aura perfectly.

Mifune is the greatest! That is actually my favorite samurai movie of all time. Would love to see a Tatsuya Nakadai version. Very nice job!

Same here, I hope if there is a remake, they can finish out the trilogy.
