Hi Tom,
Thank you for the nice comment. Johann is back home from the hospital. There is no rush for the drawing. I'd be honoured to have any drawing by you. Even just a small doodle.
Hope all is well.
Chris

Thank you kindly. Actually all I did was copy a photo I had taken. I can sit down beside a person who has never painted before, and they can copy me perfectly. Anyone can be a high realist painter. It's the creative painting from your imagination that requires talent.

This is one of my high realism paintings. I took a photo beside the dock at camp. Then simply copied the photo. I thin my oils down quite a bit. Kinda like soft butter. I try to buy two brushes in every size. One brush, I use for applying the paint, the other brush I flare it out and blend with only the tips of the bristles. Go through my gallery right to the end. There you will see my ladybug painting. Enlarge it and copy some waterdrops until you can blend them perfectly. Just remember, apply the paint like a paint by number, then blend it to look real.

Initially, the word "hyperreal" seemed apt. Then I realised that there are swirls of flat colour creating the illusion of reality and I don't know what to call it save "brilliant".
