...when Majin Buu was defeated, his cells were dispersed throughout the multiverse, seeking other life to join. These microscopic pink blobs traveled at random, until the finally located people with great power, or at least the desire for power. A single cell was all it would take to transform someone into a new member of the Majin race!

Typical symptoms of the Majin infection included pink skin, phenomenal power, reduction in intellect and moral capacity, and the nearly-overwhelming desire to turn other people into candy and devour them.

The stray Majin cells that drifted towards the Leaf Village dithered and vacillated on the wind; they sensed so many powerful beings below, an embarrassment of parasitic riches! By purest chance, they floated to a grove where Sakura Haruno and Hinata Hyuga were training...

...for hours, the two kunoichi blew past every physical limit they once possessed. Something had changed, their strength and endurance had been raised to some unfathomable level! The two were so clouded by the bliss of it, they barely noticed that their skin was changing color.

They could have continued training long into the night, but felt the need for a snack break. Something sugary seemed in order...

....and eventually, they learned to combine their physical forms!
