Hello from ProjectComment !
This is a pretty atmospheric drawing...and that atmosphere is pretty creepy! I sure wouldn't want to run into one of those creatures. The texturing on the Gazer is really good, and gives it a nice smooth look. Also, I REALLY like the lighting on the webbing bit.
I think one thing that would add a little more visual interest would be adding some floating particles around the water...these could also help add depth, too, since they would vary in color/brightness based on which light source they were near. On that note, you mentioned that part of the reason the light doesn't go very far is that the water isn't very clear. I may be wrong, but I think that in water like that, the light would still go out a bit further than it does, but it would be diffused and kind of soft, rather than "clear" and illuminating just a few spots. (i hope that doesn't sound like gibberish )
I do notice that the circular part of the ship with the light seems a little bit non-circular. The inner ring looks right, but the far side of the outer ring looks a bit flattened.
I won't go on about it being kind of dark (I was able to see everything well by turning up my brightness all the way, btw), but I would recommend that if you can, while working on pieces like this, you should occasionally lower the brightness of your screen a bit so you can see how it will look on dimmer screens. It might also help to zoom out really far so you can see how much of the lighting still catches your eye from a thumbnail type view.
All in all, I think this is a really good piece that just needs a little tweaking of details to be even better.
Keep up the good work!

Whoa, creepy O_O This is really well done and gives it a very ominous atmosphere.
I'm not sure if it was done on purpose, but it's really hard to see the form of the creature, it gets lost in the dark background. I don't know if you meant for it to do that. It's really well done though!

I love creepy stuff like this! Excellent details on the creature!
I hope you do not mind that I point out several suggestions?
I would make the red/orange parts of the creature brighter, more glow-y if you will. I see that you have added colour bouncing from this, that is very nice. You may need to intensify some of those regions if you make the part brighter, especially with the more transparent skin between the fins. Also making the light from the window a tad brighter would help bring more contrast too. You have the darkness down very well, but I almost overlooked this piece because it was almost too dark. I think a little more contrast would help this piece pique more interest.
Overall I like it a lot! The movement and design of the creature are great! Keep it up!

Cmon Chrono, you dissapear for months and come back with such an epic drawing!! The effot, the colors, the image it self, i see you have been practicing. Chrono, the only thing i see that maybe just maybe could be a problem is how you make the glowing parts of the Gazer, yes they do look cool and serve their propurse but it does not go with the rest of the style, I guess you have been looking how to fix that already
