Description Srsly, in his first 30 days, he doubled the deficit and halved the investment. One can only ask:
How did such an incompetent become our president? Can we even survive four years of this nutjob? *grumble grumble grumble*

Well so far the country is being ruined, people are losing their healthcare, orders of Nuns are being told to hand out contraceptives, and business at the golf course is picking up. So I do not know about our ability to survive.

Yeah Obama took a surplus and turned it into a deficit. Illegally wire tapped our phones. Sent us into Iraq after weapons that didn't exist not only killing hundreds of American soldiers but going against the UN. His party's policies of "Most of wall street is rich, white, american, and male so we should trust them completely" lead to the greatest economic crisis since the depression. Yeah Obama is terrible. Just terrible. Hopefully the next president has the balls to do whatever it takes to get us out of this.

He's a black George W. Bush. Get used to it. This is what our political system has been reduced to. People obsessed with a persons affiliation with some party and not his actual qualifications. The 2008 elections were an excellent example, NO ONE qualified made it past the primaries.

Each party has a metaphoriocal "desert", and there's a "desert" as in billions of dollars in debt, 11% unemployment, loss of the second amendment which will druve crime rate through the roof, ect. I was referring to the latter. And, it is estimated that if the election took place today, the democrats would lose their majority.

2. Obama more than quadrupled the deficit. It is predicted that it will go into the quadrillions. Do you even know what a quadrillion is?
3. Metaphor time: Where Bush used a shovel, Obama used a hired team of expert miners to dig a deeper hole. Obama is the democratic Ulysses grant: a terrible leader and drug addict who loves to be surrounded by corruption.

2. So to avoid blaming Obama, you're going to blame the entire world? Suuuuure, that's logical.
3. Obama is a chaim smoker, and his secretary of treasury, Tim Geithner, had over $35,000 in unpaid taxes. Also, a large portion of the numbers showing improvements in the economy showed improvement in districts that don't even exist. I do know what i'm talking about. I don't pull stuff out of my @$$.

3 chain smoking doesn not make you a drug addict or a bad person,I was a chain smoker fro a while, I am a druggy? cititng one example also in a world where, EVERY government has people who steal hardly justifies the term, surround himself of corruption

Chuck-the-ADDragon In reply to goldenirish [2010-01-29 06:18:34 +0000 UTC]

1. kk
2. It was Annie May and Freddie Mac, which was a policy opposed by Republicans, and recklessly passed by the Democrats. It was a policy that allowed low mortgage loans on houses that got higher until people couldn't afford them anymore, so they were kicked out of their houses, and thus the collapse in the housing market. How is that Bush's, the banks, or the insurance companies' fault?
3. Ummmmm. U need nicotine patches to quit, so that classifies as an addiction. And if u were a chain smoker, you aren't a druggy anymore. Aaaaaaaand:

Obama's handpicked education czar Kevin Jennings. Radical, druggy, hippy, anti-government, as a teacher he was told of a student's relationship with a teacher but never reported it as was his duty. Obama's reason for choosing this man? He is gay, and a gay-rights activist, which while i support gay rights, there are likely much better choices.

Hillary Clinton. SHE'S HILLARY FUCKING CLINTON!!!

Joe Biden. Not corrupt, just stupid. He commented during the swine flu "epidemic" that sick people shouldn't get on busses or planes. The transportation industry fell in profits overnight.

Nancy Pelosi. She attempted to start a conspiracy theory that all republicans were right wing radicals, and a threat to the united states.

Robery Byrd. He joined the KKK at the age of 24.

There's more.

Hahaha dude ur a flippin retard. The Tu Quoque logical fallacy does not apply here because you're point seems to be that we made the wrong choice rather than there were no good choices. With that in mind consider the fact that GWB and you're republican heroes strengthened the already powerful and oppressive corporations like Monsanto by actually helping them with corrupt government deals. Now we have to deal with companies that refuse to inform customers about the origins of the food especially GM products, which are not even certified as safe. They even overrode the security aspect of our country, and Mcdonalds still runs supreme after it was announced that obesity was a matter of national security. Seems like the lack of gov intervention doesn't seem to help us very much. And little intervention my @$$. The way he war mongered and did no child left behind to favor certain industries is really blatant, and anyone who can't see through that is honestly challenged. We already have seen the flaws of the Lassiez-faire system since the companies grew too big and the frightening belief of social darwinism reared its ugly head. But it seems like the party whose ass is on your lips is taking a step further and actually strengthening the companies and not the people. No wonder the wealth distribution got screwed up! Speaking of which deficit is inevitable. You're shovel analogy is stupid. Bush did not dig a hole that was just a temporary falldown. He jumped into friggin quicksand by starting the war. The reason why its quicksand is because once we're in it, its difficult to improve things. Its like in willed debts. If I am in 1M debt and I pass on the debt to my son(Which doesnt happen in the US but its theoretical), he is in a bad condition and given that he does not have any money to get more money(via investing and education), he can only spiral downward. Not to mention Bush also caused us to have striking bad relations to multiple countries such as NK. NK was slowly becoming more westernized and had shown interest in basketball. Then you're idol Republicans just had to form the Axis of Evil and make them sour. Putting restrictions on their trade not only made them angrier but also put the US in unfavorable eyes. Its really sad how people don't see their own flaws but always see the flaws in others. Reminds me of Ovid/Catullus poem about the backpack. w/e. I also do see the flaws of the Dem party. Or at least I percieve them as flaws. Mismanagement and overliberalism is rapt in the system. But at least the Dem seem to care more about the common people. Something is very wrong about the system, and at least the Dems actually TRY to alleviate it. Seeing that the top 1% of the populace controls 34% of the national wealth, its not very hard to see that something has gone sour. Some may have deserved it. Most, however, function by surpressing the 99%. Again. Just look at those food companies and Monsanto. Monsanto's new Terminator seeds are the most insidious things i have ever heard of. Not to mention if pollination happens to an unwitting farmer that farmer is legally liable for the breach of contract since he did not buy those GENES. Why trust the same company that made agent orange and sold it knowing of the contamination with our food? Why is it that some people are not really awarded for their work?

What I meant was; in what did he spend all that money? I highly doubt any polititian could (or would) spend a huge amount of money in such a manner without a reason (and as I said, I don't know much of economy/politics myself) because if they did, the media would virtually slaughter him within weeks

Chuck-the-ADDragon In reply to ravnicrasol [2010-01-19 06:59:36 +0000 UTC]

That's the point! Most of it has yet to be spent. It was supposed to be used for the immediate recovery of the economy and a.) most of it will trickle out for the next couple years and b.) it will raise taxes like hell for my generation.

And now for something completely different: Damn you. It was at exactly 111 comments. Why could you not have left it alo\ne right there?! lol.

111 comments? well, I guess you'll just have to wait for 222.

So, what you're telling me is that he's somehow "Grabbed hold" of a large amount of money, and hasn't "Spent" most of it?, I'm pretty dumb in this kind of matter, however, do you know where is that money that hasn't been spent? surely it didn't vanish into thin air, so either Obama (and his politicians) have already used it in something else, or they have it "Stored" somewhere; I'm not sure as to how or where Obama hid that money, however, if it's a huge sum of it, I'm betting no one will let it slip unless he'd tell them where it was and why it was there.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Chuck-the-ADDragon In reply to ravnicrasol [2010-01-20 04:10:00 +0000 UTC]

No. That was not even remotely what i said. I said that while the money was to be used for boosting the failed economy, most of it is still slowly trickling into the economy. The idea of the stimulus package was to spent a lot of $ fast in order to trigger a re surge of investment. However, after a year, the larger portion of the money hasn't been spent, and the recession continues.

Dear Mr(s). Obamanut:

1. Bush was more qualified than Obama, who had (and has) no qualifications at all. Name 1 thing he did before getting elected.

2. U spelled "omelet" wrong.

3. He didn't break the eggs, he nuked them. And thus, the green (and glowing) eggs and ham.

4. The Outstanding Public Debt as of 21 Nov 2009 at 07:33:43 AM GMT is: $12,017,152,674,877.68 The estimated population of the United States is 307,325,800
so each citizen's share of this debt is $39,102.32
U wud call that "breaking a few eggs"?

Dear Mr(s). Over-reactor:

1. Bush had the IQ of a stuffed turtle and only got in because his brother was the governer of Florida, Obama did it totally legit and had a functioning brain. He just doesn't have enough backbone to say no to the people breathing down his neck.

2. You spelled "YOU" wrong

3. Clinton started the mess with NAFTA and then Bush made it 100 times worse with the free market, Obama was walking into a swamp with tennis shoes basically.

4. Thank Bush because if he hadn't done such stupid things, we wouldn't have a debt at all.

So yes, I call it breaking a few eggs. Besides, you wanted an old man and a creationist chick with a 3rd grade education.

Also, it's not a "one extreme or the other" situation, I'm not an Obama nut just because I support him. He's not a great President, but he's doing what he can considering the circumstances.

What you both seem to be over looking is that while they are both shinning examples of idiocy the real power in this country in the legislative branch. The judicial and exective (ideally though unrealistically) are supposed to balence the system out. The legislature does have the power to override the president's decsions but since the president is the primary figure head anything that goes wrong is automaticlly their doing. Sorry about the rant. I wasn't trying to start anything just pointing it out.

While I must point out that we did survive eight years of Bush, it does appear - so far - that Obama is almost as much of an idiot as Bush, if not an equal or greater moron. Both went on insane power trips, doing things that they really should not be able to, and yet accomplishing nothing significant.

In short, there is a catastrophic disconnect between Washington D.C. and the people of the United States of America.
