Description This was a piece done for Palladium Merc Ops. It was a character class for titled "Galdiator". But you cant just give ME a "gladiator" and expect ME-(the molosser, knowledgeable gladiator fighting animal guy)a simple task with such a title. I had to design the pit bull of men! I had to go there. from the bladed dreds to the well you see....

I remember reading Rifts Conversion Book 2, where one of the Indian War Gods, Skanda, I think, was captured and forced into gladiator arena.

Thanks for the compliments!!! This was a Rifts Palladiumbooks favorite of mine.

I actually wanted to do more for this portion of the RPG as a possible Pit fight section with tons of gladiator warriors & pit beasts that could be customized for blood sport entertainment by the investers and heavy purse gamblers, but I had to settle for this pic only as I just have so much on the plate at times...Would have been fun though to configure your own pit beast or gladiator and then go fight with side bets and all. Oh well...maybe another day

well, this looks awsome, and making something bigger with such precision would be awsome too but still u probably don't have enough time for that idea of whole small war in cage going on is really convencing(sp)

Each detail has been treated with care to the maximum. The shadings, lines and body strokes have been remarked with perfection, every single details is covered with an incredibly artistic expression.

It only needs a really good fitting background to fill of thrill this piece. Amazing work .

thanks MD!!!! Coming from that Means a HECK of ALLOT to me!! As vast as your eyes have seen and witnessed the realms of genres, I am humbled sincerely. I gotta admit I like the grit fee l to the pic, but I wanted to add the arena backfground, but reserved that to avoid cluttering the image. Had to take the optional suttle approach upon occassion, as you have taught me.

I still would loved to have developed a Palladiumbooks RPG pit fight arena module or supplement for the Arenas and the various gladiator species developed and its monstrosities, and the political purses and corruptions behind it all....sigh...the ideas....flowing...through..my head...the pain....the pain....gotta.....draw..... LOL

Ahh the given name by the wife factor, smile!!! Cool.....No need to thank me just being honest. As to talent comparison, I never compare myself to others in such fashion anymore. I view it as a difference in aesthetic desire, experience and style. So Be sure to keep your chin up when comparing yourself to ANYONE!!!! We all have our strengths and weaknensss in this field. I kinda like that. Gives us motivation to go after or hone our skills even more. Avoid being content is my creed! Thank you for your words of kindness and I look fwd to seeing more from you as well

Well thank you. I find the environment and good ppl around us can be a great help when working in your fancy. Good swords should always sharpen one another. Glad to be of help to a fellow artist.
