Any advice you can offer a potential Prussia cosplayer?

Sorry this literally took me 7 months to respond! Work has pretty much dominated my life, so my cosplaying has kind of fallen to the wayside, but I'll try and answer it now. The advice I can give you if you're looking to cosplay an accurate Prussia is this: find a nice, comfortable set of red contacts (people LOVE the unusual color, and I promise you will probably be asked 90% of the time if you can see normal colors through them), make sure your wig isn't too long (I used a razoring technique for my own wig, then I styled it with men's hair gel and Got 2 B Glued freeze spray), and if you have to bind down your breasts, do it with a back brace, or a flattening garment (if you have rounder hips, like I do, try and make your jacket a little longer to help hide them too). I also suggest really channeling the character. I think a good portion of female cosplayers forget that men aren't curvy, so they kind of prance around like a girl in a boy's outfit. If that's your take on the character, then by all means, prance away. I don't always talk like Prussia when I'm in costume, but I do try. It makes it fun, and people generally treat me like him when I make an effort. Just avoid people with frying pans ... I have been hit before.Β

What I was aiming for with Prussia was his casual look (so essentially things I'd wear normally) and the War of Austrian Succession/pirate outfit (my personal favorite

That IS Italy you see in mein shades. Germany, too. I had to call him and ask what our plans were for the rest of the day. Needless to say, I don't think he was very amused, as he so clearly stated on FB: "You didn't have to call me when I was THREE STEPS away, BrΓΌder."
