Not really sure what to write about this. My very first con was Wildercon, in Milton Keynes in August 2003. I don't even have photographs of all of my costumes here so please excuse the gaps in the timeline - the earliest on this timeline is Faust from Guilty Gear at Minami 2004. The latest is 2-D, Plastic Beach Portrait worn at Birmingham MCM a couple of weeks ago.This August I will be going to Ayacon and it will be exactly 10 years since I started dressing up and prancing around in costumes with other people who enjoy doing so too. I've learnt lots of things and met lots of people through it, so I'm really grateful for having this strange hobby in my life. It is thanks to cosplay I have met my closest friends. As well as that, I met a great friend of mine in 2005 at a con after chatting for years online, and now, he's my fiance - *1000014 . Thank you.
Now. Can you name them all!? Haha!

Thank you so much! I don't think "skills" but er, I was chatting about how we want to redo some costumes and so on, so it'll be good to see them compared to the old version of it? Like I wish I had the really old photos to be like "Look, when I started I stuck christmas ribbons onto a top with GLUE" XD

It was Cho Hakkai from Sayuki, it would have looked so much better with actual chinese button knots than ribbon and buttons glued on, but my sewing was so bad back then that I decided it'd be better to glue things on. Two or three years later I managed to sew an entire military greatcoat by hand so I guess there is improvement there! LOL

Haha, that's one great leap of improvement.
Though, you get all the points of intuitiveness for finding an alternative. I really want to make my own cosplay timeline now, though it won't be nearly as profound as yours.

Nooo you didn't annoy me at all! Actually when I FIRST saw your cosplay (cyberland gackt!) I was mentally going OMFG SOMEONE IS COSPLAYING GACKT THAT IS SO AWESOME. And when I saw you cosplaying Lida (I think you went past at Cov. train station when I was waiting for someone!) I actually squeed to my friend, 'Aaaa a Lida cosplayer!' lol Glad we got talking really because you are a super-duper cosplayer and a fabulous person with it ^_^

I am so glad I met you too! I think back then my esteem was -15/15 rather than 3/15, so I am much more chill nowdays! I still want to cosplay groups with you, we were chatting about BoB the other day!

I was a bit disappointed, I had hoped to make more visable progress! But yes, I think this is an amazing hobby, haha. I used to have awful self esteem problems so when I first met *1000014 among other friends I felt so uncool and out of place XD Funny how things turn out!
